It's another edition of the Control Freaks blog tour, and this month's hop is gonna be SPECTACULAR, because we're featuring the upcoming Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog, and that's what the catalog is....SPECTACULAR!!! You may have just hopped over from Kelly Acheson's blog, A Stamp Above, or maybe you started here. Either way, click the "next stop" link at the bottom of each blog to take the whole tour.
This is, without question, the absolute BEST holiday catalog ever! There is something for nearly everyone, but most of the catalog is devoted to my favorite holiday, Christmas - 35 of the 55 pages!
I have two cards for you today. Up first is the cute little gingerbread man from Cookie-Cutter Christmas. He is so sweet (pun intended), and I couldn't resist using the icing "squiggle" from the Cupcake Cutouts Framelits, even though it's not in the holiday catalog. With icing you can put a happy face on anything! The Fancy Frost Specialty DSP background looks like icing dots, too, doesn't it? When I first saw it in the catalog I thought it was another emboss-resist type paper, but it's DRY embossed, with a lovely detailed texture!
|STAMPS: Cookie-Cutter Christmas CARDSTOCK: Whisper White, Real Red, Crumb Cake, Fancy Frost DSP, Candy Cane Lane DSP INK: Soft Suede ACCESSORIES: Cookie Cutter Builder Punch, Big Shot, Cupcake Cutouts Framelits, Candy Cane Lane Baker's Twine|
My second card showcases the gorgeous Starlight Thinlits Dies and the equally gorgeous Copper Foil Paper with the Fancy Frost Specialty DSP again. It's a double Z fold, and looks so cool!
|STAMPS: None CARDSTOCK: Whisper White, Emerald Envy, Copper Foil, Fancy Frost DSP INK: None ACCESSORIES: Big Shot, Starlight Thinlits Dies, Christmas Greetings Thinlits Dies, Copper Metallic Thread|
It's so hard to get a good photo of the Copper Foil....it really is so rich-looking in real life! Here's a different angle.
Though there is so much more I want to share, that's all for this stop today. I guess I should let the other Control Freaks share in the fun, too, so up next is Debbie Henderson's Debbie's Designs. Go see what awesomeness she has for you!
