2020 Mini Catalog & Sale-A-Bration Sneak Peek!

2020 Sale-A-Bration, Happy Birthday To You

Thought I'd tease you just a teeny bit with a tiny tantalizing taste of an upcoming Sale-A-Bration stamp set! Heehee, ain't I a stinker?

2020 Sale-A-Bration, Happy Birthday To You

The cake is from the SAB set, and the greeting is from First Frost. Notice that Coastal Weave 3D embossed background? Hmmmm, I wonder what that could be from..... and those Champagne Rhinestone Basic jewels, too.

Winter Wonderland, Control Freaks Style!

Welcome once again to the monthly Tour de Freaks! This month our theme is Winter Wonderland, so anything chilly, frosty, or frozen goes! I'm the first stop on the tour, but you may have landed here from The Stamp Doc. Weren't Melissa's projects awesome? There are seven of us on this month's hop, so click the button at the bottom of each stop to hop on to the next stop!

Like I said, the theme is Winter, which can be anything winter-related, whether a holiday, or just plain old frosty beauty. And the perfect frosty beauty comes in the Feels Like Frost Specialty Designer Paper. I've used it on both my cards today. Up first is a card using the Frosted Foliage stamp set that is part of the Feels Like Frost Suite. It is a set of six cling stamps with five Frosted Frames Dies that coordinate. (Look on page 41 of the Holiday catalog.)

The frame was cut from Vellum Cardstock, with icy accents added using Shimmery Crystal Effects and Ice Stampin' Glitter.

Some snowflakes were also added, cut from Sparkle Glimmer Paper to jazz it up a bit more. In keeping with the cool theme, the greeting was stamped in Night of Navy and cut with the label die.

It really is so much more sparkly in real life! The next card combines the beautiful Snow Globe Scenes Dies (page 43) with a greeting from Itty Bitty Christmas. And that fabulous DSP, of course!

The trio of trees was cut twice and overlapped to make the snowy woods behind the church. I also added some Ice Stampin' Glitter to the trees for more frosty sparkle, and Sparkle Glimmer snowy hills.

The greeting was stamped on a strip of Vellum Cardstock using StazOn Jet Black, and adhered at the side with a glue dot.

Round iridescent sequins from Snowflake Sequins added a touch more shimmery goodness, and also covered the glue dot under the greeting. That Shimmery Crystal Effects is fab for gluing sequins!

Up next is our newest Freak, Bree Renwick, over at Craft-somnia Momma. Be sure to give her a warm welcome!

The Stamp Review Crew - Perfectly Plaid

https://stampreviewcrew.blogspot.com/2019/11/perfectly-plaid.html

Welcome to the Stamp Review Crew's third Monday of the month hop! The Crew is made up of a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world who pick a stamp set or bundle to highlight on the first and third Mondays of each month, with a bonus hop if there is a fifth Monday. If you just landed here from Heidi's blog, RunningwScissorsStamper, welcome! The hop goes live on Monday, so if all the links aren't working, check again later.

Today we are featuring the cling stamp set called Perfectly Plaid, which is part of the Wrapped In Plaid Suite in the Holiday catalog. It's such a cozy collection of goodies which includes a matching Pine Tree Punch!

Now I know that my fellow crew members are going to rock the little tree, so I thought it would be fun to focus on a greeting and the delightful Wrapped In Plaid Specialty DSP. I think, besides the Noble Peacock Specialty DSP, this is my favorite paper! What's not to love?! There are various plaids in Christmas colors with GOLD foil accents, and on the reverse are versatile prints.

This card shows off two of the foiled patterns and two of the plain patterns. Dontcha just love them?!

I felt like making modern tree shapes rather than using the punch. And placed on the Pinewood Planks embossed background they really stand out, too!

The greeting was heat embossed in white on the striped DSP, then matted on gold foil to bring out the foil on the DSP. Some gold pearl accents completed the card.

Keeping this post short, because I'm writing it while trying to get ready to go to Atlanta OnStage in a couple days. By the time you see this, I'll be back home with my head positively spinning from all the new goodies coming in the Occasions and Sale-a-Bration catalogs! Can you believe we are only about six weeks away from the new catalog? And a new DECADE???

Up next is Jay at Mitosu Crafts, he's sure to have some treats to share!

The Stamp Review Crew - Cup of Christmas

 https://stampreviewcrew.blogspot.com/2019/11/cup-of-christmas.html

Welcome to the Stamp Review Crew's first Monday of the month hop! Can you believe it's already NOVEMBER??? The Crew is made up of a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world who pick a stamp set or bundle to highlight on the first and third Mondays of each month, with a bonus hop if there is a fifth Monday. If you just landed here from Linda's blog, Stampin' Seasons, welcome! The hop goes live on Monday, so if all the links aren't working, check again later!

Today we are featuring the photopolymer stamp set called Cup of Christmas, which is available as just the stamp set, or you can get the coordinating Cup of Cheer Dies, too, and save 10% if you bundle them together! This is a totally new kind of stamp from Stampin' Up; the striped and dotted mugs are reversible! That's right, they are a thicker photopolymer, so you can stamp one side, clean it off, flip it over, and then stamp the other side. So very cool! There are dies to match whichever side you decide to use.

I liked the striped and poinsettia dies that make a filler for the mugs, so I went with those today. Using Very Vanilla cardstock, the two mugs were die cut, then the filler was cut from Red Glimmer Paper (which I just now realized is retired, shoot!) and glued in place.

I love red, green, and gold for Christmas, so I used the Garden Green buffalo check in the Toile Tidings DSP, cutting it with Stitched Rectangle Dies and matting it on a slightly larger Gold Foil Sheet. (The stitched frame was cut from the mat before fastening the DSP.)

After adhering the various rectangles to the Very Vanilla card base, the cups were popped up on Stampin' Dimensionals and the greeting was stamped in Cherry Cobbler, and was also popped up on dimensionals.

The Gold 1/4" Shimmer Ribbon in this month's special Christmastime is Here Suite made the perfect little bow to complete the card!
