CSF Thursday Challenge - CSF842

This week's Create With Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge are the colors Early Espresso, Real Red, and Garden Green, which are totally Christmas colors, right?

I love the assortment of dies that come in the Reindeer Fun bundle. Garden Green glimmer paper was used for the greenery window (with gold embossed flakes in the background) and Real Red glimmer for the light strand.

The cute little reindeer was stamped on watercolor paper using StazOn ink, then colored with an Early Espresso watercolor pencil. A Blender Pen smoothed out the color and his little harness was then heat embossed in gold, and he was cut out with the coordinating die.

He was popped up over the greenery piece that was adhered to the 4" x 5 1/4" Take a Bow DSP on the Early Espresso card base. The greeting was gold-embossed on the E.E. banner and also popped up.

CSF Saturday Hop - Fall Trees

Today's Create With Stamping Friends Saturday Hop theme is Fall Trees. We are at about peak color here, but it's not quite as spectacular as in the past because we had an extended hot and dry period. But there is still beautiful color out there!

For my Fall tree I started with Peach Pie to cut the detailed overlay from the Frosted Forest Dies then brushed Cherry Cobbler, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight and Pecan Pie around the edges. It was layered over Peach Pie Glimmer and the Early Espresso trunk.

For the background, I brushed Daffodil Delight and Calypso Coral onto Basic White (2 9/16" x 4 1/16") for a sunrise, and stamped the greeting and bird in black. The bird was colored with Medium and Medium Deep Natural Tones Stampin' Blends. It was then matted on 2 3/4" x 4 1/4" Old Olive. Before everything was affixed to the Mossy Meadow base, I embossed the base with the Timber 3D embossing folder.

That's all for today - see you next Saturday! Up next is Libby Fens at Libby Stamps. Or click the "back" button to go back to Lori at Loritamarie Crafts.

CSF Thursday Challenge - CSF841

This week's Create With Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge is a sketch. Humble Home is such an adorable bundle, and I was feeling Christmas-y since I'm thinking about the Christmas baking starting soon. I love gingerbread and have fond memories of Mom making a gingerbread house every year, and us kids getting to eat it after Christmas.

So, gingerbread houses are on the menu today. I embossed the houses on Pecan Pie cardstock and punched them out before I realized they weren't going to fit on a regular A2 size card base. Memories & More Assorted Cards & Envelopes saved the day! A wee bit of Cherry Cobbler Blends added a little color to the houses.

The Pecan Pie background was cut with the largest Deckled Rectangles die, and the Petal Pink with the second largest. I embossed the pink with the Forever Plaid 3D folder and adhered everything to the card base.

Then it was a simple matter of popping up the houses (with peppermint wreaths!), and adding the greeting with a pretty bow to finish the card.
