The Stamp Review Crew - Bonus #2 Sale-a-Bration

Welcome to the Stamp Review Crew's Bonus Sale-a-Bration edition! Sale-a-Bration ends TODAY, so grab what you wanted before it's gone forever!

The "Crew" is a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world who pick a stamp set or bundle to highlight on the first and third Mondays of each month, with a bonus hop if there is a fifth Monday. If you landed here from Kristie's blog, My Paper Life, welcome! There are TEN of us today, so grab a beverage, relax, and enjoy the tour.

Today my cards feature the Driving By stamp set (and a very appropriate greeting from Special Moments), and the Friendly Hello stamp set, with some Sunshine & Rainbows DSP on both.

The first card has that adorable VW bus that has been "painted" with happy sunshine and has a smiley face added with a marker. It's so 70s, LOL!

The rainbow background paper is from the same pack and is just so cheerful - I can't help but smile when I look at this card.

The second card has watercolored blossoms from Friendly Hello popped up over more of that fun Sunshine & Rainbows DSP.

I think the polka dot pattern with the stripes is a great combination, and the addition of some Iridescent Rhinestones over a few of the dots was icing on the cake!

CCM Saturday Blog Hop - Travels & Adventures

Today's Create With Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop theme is Travels & Adventures. I always thought it would be fun to sail up the west coast from southern California all the way to Alaska. Wouldn't that be a great adventure?! So that's the theme of today's quick and easy card.

I used some New Horizons DSP for the scenery. I love how the horizon on this sheet could be land or possibly ominous storm clouds coming. The Let's Set Sail photopolymer stamp set and the Sailboat Builder Punch created the boat, and I chose colors from the DSP for the sails. I just stamped the birds and then their reflection in the water, added a greeting and the card was done. No bling needed! 😃

That's my share for today. Click the Next button to jump over to Libby Fens at Libby Stamps, or the Back button to see what Lori at Loritamarie Crafts has made!

The Stamp Review Crew - Blessings of Home

Welcome to the Stamp Review Crew's Blessings of Home edition! The "Crew" is made up of a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world who pick a stamp set or bundle to highlight on the first and third Mondays of each month, with a bonus hop if there is a fifth Monday. If you landed here from Betty's blog, Kitty Stamp, welcome! There are eight of us today, and I can't wait to see what everyone created!

Blessings of Home is a seven piece cling stamp set with a matching eleven piece die set called Flowers of Home Dies. This is one of my favorite sets in the mini because the line art is great for coloring! That being said, my first card has no real noticeable coloring, LOL!

I heat embossed the large flower image on Misty Moonlight and used a dark Balmy Blue Stampin' Blend to barely shade the flowers. The smaller flower image was stamped in Misty Moonlight and not colored.

The silver stitched rectangle is from the Blue Foil Specialty Paper that will be available to order March 1st. I think blue and silver is such a great combination!

I always forget to show the inside of the card, but this time I remembered to snap a picture showing a peek of the inside.

The second card did involve coloring. I sponged some Basic Gray on the Heart & Home DSP to make a shadow behind the image. The floral image was stamped in Basic Gray and colored with Smoky Slate, Pale Papaya, and Fresh Freesia Stampin' Blends.

Just the THANK YOU part of that greeting stamp was inked. I could have masked off the part I didn't want, but I was able to carefully tap the pad on just the part I did want. (That doesn't always work, LOL.)

That's all I have for today, so click NEXT to see what Deb at Heartfelt Inkspiration has made!

Control Freaks F*R*I*E*N*D*S

The Freaky theme this month is FRIENDS - they sure are wonderful to have. Whether someone to giggle with about silly things, or a shoulder to cry on, friends make life bearable! If you just landed here from LeeAnn's blog, Flowerbug's Inkspot, welcome! There are six of us on this hop, so grab a cup of your favorite beverage and see what the FRIENDLY Freaks have for you today!

I focused on soon to retire Sale-A-Bration sets because there are so many ways to say "Hello, friend" with them, starting with (what else?) Friendly Hello. Not only are the stamp sets retiring, but also the Simply Marbleous DSP which was used for the background.

Aaaand, just a reminder..... the 2020-2022 In Colors are also retiring the beginning of May, so the beautiful Misty Moonlight is also nearing the end. *sniff* The image was colored with Stampin' Blends, then cut out and popped up on dimensionals. The background doily is the reverse of the Misty Moonlight doily. (The white looked better on this card.) I sneaked some upcoming Rhinestone Waves jewels on, too, because, well ... SHINY!

The second card utilizes two SAB sets. The image is from Calming Camellia (why does Karma Chameleon always pop in my head?), which is the Host set, and the greeting is from Special Moments, which is a fab 21 piece sentiment set.

Bumblebee is another one of the colors retiring May 2nd, so it was used to ink the image and Magenta Madness (also retiring) was lightly applied to the blossoms with a sponge dauber. The background DSP is another SAB freebie called Daffodil Daydream. I sure hope you have had a chance to get the Sale-A-Bration items you wanted because it ends February 28th, and everything is on a "while supplies last" basis! And we all know how the supply chain is these days.

That's all from me. Up next is the amazing Debbie, at Debbie Henderson Designs.
