Jan. 31 Stamp of the Week - Punch Party

Hey, stampers, here we are at the start of a new stamp showcase! This week it's the Punch Party Sale-a-Bration host set, and it will only be available for four more weeks! Can you believe how quickly SAB is flying by?!

I still have Valentine's Day on my mind, so I chose the heart greeting/image that coordinates with the Rectangular Postage Stamp Punch. I didn't punch the image, though. I cut closely around it with Paper Snips and then popped it on dimensionals on punched Basic White.

I just can't get enough of that gorgeous black and white True Love DSP! I used two of the patterns, randomly coloring some of the blossoms to match the Real Read ribbon and mat.

Black, white, and red are such a striking combination that I didn't think it needed any bling. *GASP!*

Measurements

  • Card base 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" scored & folded at 4-1/4"
  • DSP on bottom 1-1/2" x 4"
  • DSP on top 3-3/4" x 4"

Saturday Love Is In The Air

Today's Create With Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop theme is "Love Is In The Air" and I am definitely thinking traditional Valentines this week!

I paired Petal Pink with Poppy Parade (a lot of alliteration, heh) and gold for a classic Valentine look. Leaves were stamped on the background Petal Pink in matching ink, and then the background was embossed with the Tasteful Textures 3D embossing folder. Unfortunately the leaves kind of got lost in the texture. Oh well...

A half-inch strip of Poppy Parade made the arrow piercing the heart, and Gilded Gems dressed up the arrow. (You knew I had to add the bling, right?)

That's my share for today. Now click the Next button to jump to Libby Fens at Libby Stamps, or the Back button to see what Mary Brown at Stamper Camper's Corner has made!

Heart to Heart

Here's another card using this week's SOTW, Heart to Heart. Tulips are my daughter's favorite flower, and these blossoms are reminiscent of tulips, so they were just the ticket for this card. Those Resin Hearts Embellishments were colored with a Dark Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Blend. Customizing embellies is so easy with Stampin' Blends!

Since this particular set doesn't have a birthday greeting, I inked up just one sentiment of the Many Messages stamp using a Stampin' Spot and Mossy Meadow ink refill. Those Stampin' Spots are so handy for this purpose, or when you're using a smaller stamp on the Stamparatus so you don't get ink everywhere.

The DSP background is one of the patterns in the free Sale-a-Bration pack called Paper Blooms. Lots of pretty patterns in that DSP!

Measurements

  • Card base: Rich Razzleberry 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" scored & folded at 4-1/4"
  • DSP: Paper Blooms 4" x 5-1/4"
  • Image panel: Basic White 2-1/16" x 3-1/4"
