Stamp Review Crew - Autumn Leaves

Welcome to the Stamp Review Crew's Autumn Leaves edition! The "Crew" is a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world who pick a stamp set or bundle to highlight on the first and third Mondays of each month, with a bonus hop if there is a fifth Monday. If you landed here from Holly's blog, welcome! There are only three of us today, so this will be a quick hop.

Autumn Leaves is a 12 piece photopolymer set with a 17 piece coordinating die set, which of course can be bundled for a discount.. I love the labels in the die set, as well as the greetings in the stamp set that can be customized!

My first card uses the negative of the maple leaf die as a frame for the brilliant fall foliage found in the All About Autumn Specialty DSP pack.

The Cajun Craze square measures 3-1/4" x 3-1/4". It is popped up over the Very Vanilla (4" x 5-1/4") background in which I used the dotted lines die in a couple places. I liked the visual interest the dots gave to the blank space.

The strip of foiled DSP measures 1-1/8" x 5-1/4" and I added layered ribbons - burlap Crumb Cake from the Real Red and Burlap combo pack, and copper from the Copper & Natural combo pack. A few copper sequins finished the card.

Up next is another card featuring products in the All About Autumn Suite Collection. The stamped greeting is Mossy Meadow ink on Crumb Cake, cut with a Stylish Shapes die.

The die cut leaves started as Oxidized Copper Specialty DSP, and were tinted using sponge daubers and ink pads (Mossy Meadow, Real Red, and Crushed Curry).

After adhering them to the circle, the circle was popped up on the copper foiled DSP and a strip of Natural ribbon was added to the side. Then the whole thing was attached to the Crumb Cake card base. Oh, I almost forgot! Those Mossy Meadow sprigs are the leaf vein/stem dies. And I just realized I didn't use any of the leaf stamps, just the greetings and dies. 😁

That's all I have to share for today, so click "Next" to see what Terri created, or "Previous" to visit Holly again. Thanks for stopping by!

CCM Saturday Blog Hop - Casing ME!

With today's Create With Connie & Mary Saturday Hop it's my turn to be CASED! This is the card I chose, from November of last year:

And this is my new take on it:

I really wanted to use the Autumn Leaves bundle again because the leaves are really starting to turn now (and fall - our yard is a mess!).

I embossed the background with the Distressed Tile folder. Since I didn't have that lovely Crumb Cake plaid, I used the Abundant Beauty leaves mask instead.

That's all for today - see you next Saturday! Up next is Libby Fens at Libby Stamps. Or click the "back" button to go back to Lori at Loritamarie Crafts.

CCMC786 - Color Challenge

Today's Thursday Challenge is a color combination. Soft Sea Foam, Lost Lagoon, and Berry Burst practically shout "Christmas!" to me, so here we are. 😄 Merriest Trees is such a fun set, and perfect for this challenge.

I used Soft Sea Foam DSP from the Hello Irresistible pack and stamped tiny stars on it in Lost Lagoon (stamped off). The tree was stamped and die cut, as were the ornaments. That lovely gold garland was die cut from the limited release Silver & Gold Adhesive-backed Glimmer Paper. And boy did that adhesive come in handy - no messy liquid glue trying to adhere it to the tree!

A piece of Silver & White Sheer Ribbon was colored with the Light Berry Burst Stampin' Blend to pop behind the greeting. It needed something to balance the Berry Burst gifts under the tree. I think it worked. 😉

CCM Saturday Blog Hop - Casing Lori DeGroot

Today we are casing Lori DeGroot, our Canadian team member. This is the card she posted on October 6th last year:

And this is my take on it:

Q

I started by heat embossing the pine sprigs in white on Basic Black to mimic the B&W plaid on Lori's card. The square focal point was easy-peasy using the Christmas Classics Dies with Basic White for the greeting and Garden Green for the die cut greenery background.

The holly leaves were stamped on Garden Green, die cut, and some shading was added with the Light Mossy Meadow Stampin' Blend. Garden Green Blooming Pearls and a Black & White Gingham Ribbon bow finished the card.

CCMC785 - Sketch Challenge

It's Thursday again already(!) and time for another Thursday challenge. This week it's a sketch. I love having a sketch to follow, because most of the work is already done; all I have to do is pick the colors and image and BOOM, it's finished!

I've been really feeling Autumn-y lately, especially since the nights are getting cooler. Love that bit of chill in the morning!

I chose some of the products in the All About Autumn Suite Collection on page 43 of the mini, except instead of using the Speckled Dots, I went with more shine by using the copper sequins in the Neutrals Adhesive-backed Sequins. I thought it matched the copper ribbon nicely.

I sure do like the autumn images in this DSP. It makes for a very easy yet beautiful card.
