CCM Saturday Blog Hop - Green

Today's Create With Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop song title is "Green Eyed Lady" by Sugarloaf. I couldn't pick just one favorite green; I had to use three on this card. My first fave is Granny Apple Green, but I added some Lemon Lime Twist and Mossy Meadow to make the greenery pop.

The Exposed Brick embossed background really sets off the Timeless Arrangements die cut greenery, don't you think?

CCMC777 - CASEing the Colors

For today's Thursday challenge catalog CASE, I was immediately struck by the bright, cheerful colors of the inspiration card on page 81 of the catty, so today's card is a study in Real Red, Crushed Curry, and Coastal Cabana.

The bright colors called for a happy occasion, and there's so much happiness with birthday balloons and streamers!

I colored Vellum Cardstock with Dark Real Red and Light Shaded Spruce (the closest I could get to Coastal Cabana) Stampin' Blends to make the smaller die cut balloons.

CCM Saturday Blog Hop - Yellow

The song title today is "Mellow Yellow" by Donovan. (Hopping on the way back machine here, lol.)

When I think of yellow, I think of bright, sunny days. And what better way to capture that than the Rays of Light background stamp? It's perfect for the occasion! And since it's all about the sunshine on this card, Sending Smiles was a match made in heaven.

Happy birthday to my mama! She's going to be as-many-keys-as-there-are-on-a-piano years old next week. 😁

I liked both the layout and the texture on the inspiration card found on page 97 of the 2023-24 annual catalog, but used her favorite color as the starting point.

The Delightful Doily used in the background on the inspiration card became the texture on the angled die cut showing off the Artistically Inked rose. I think she'll like it!

CCM Saturday Blog Hop - Blue

Today's Create With Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop theme is LeAnn Rimes' song titled "Blue." We have so many lovely blue hues right now that I can't pick a favorite! So I used several of them on this card, starting with some Countryside Inn DSP strips on the card base, and adding a Delightful Doily (Hybrid 3D folder & dies) in white and Misty Moonlight.

The stained glass angel is from one of the new Online Exclusives sets called So Very Merry. She was stamped in Night of Navy, then the image was colored with Light and Dark Boho Blue and Light Balmy Blue Stampin' Blends. Her skin and hair are Ivory and Light Wild Wheat.

I cheated a little bit and used a retired 2-1/4" circle punch, which fit the image perfectly. That way I was able to use the current 2-3/8" circle punch with some More Dazzle Specialty Paper to give the card a little shine. The greeting and circle die are from the Brightest Glow bundle.
