CCM Saturday Blog Hop - Nature

Today's Create With Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop theme is NATURE. This was a fun one since just about every stamp I own has something to do with nature, whether it be flowers, plants, animals, or scenery!

I chose Honeybee Home because as a gardener I love pollinators, and things are really starting to bloom around here with the bees happily buzzing.

I started by brushing So Saffron on the card base, then stamping the sprigs in So Saffron on a scrap of cardstock. After embossing with the Hive 3D folder, I tore it randomly and adhered it to the card base then tied Black & White Gingham ribbon around the card front. The floral stem was stamped in Memento ink, colored with Stampin' Blends and cut with the matching Honeybee Blooms die and popped up on dimensionals. A few Bumblebee Trinkets (retiring!) were added with glue dots.

That's all for today - see you next Saturday! Up next is Libby Fens at Libby Stamps. Or click the "back" button to go back to Lori at Loritamarie Crafts.

CCM Saturday Blog Hop - Favorite New Accessory

Today's Create With Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop theme is our favorite new accessory, like bling, DSP, etc. I chose the Perfectly Penciled DSP because the floral images are gorgeous, and it's a snap to color them!

My favorite new In Color is Tahitian Tide. It reminds me a lot of the old Tempting Turquoise that retired years ago, and I really love the clear, clean, not muddy color.

The new Stylish Shapes Dies are fabulous, too. I like that they pierce the inside and outside of the die cut, so you can have a stitched window if you want.

Stamp Review Crew - In the Moment

Welcome to the Stamp Review Crew's In the Moment edition! The "Crew" is a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world who pick a stamp set or bundle to highlight on the first and third Mondays of each month, with a bonus hop if there is a fifth Monday. If you landed here from Betty's blog, welcome! There are seven of us today.

This In the Moment cling stamp set has three images and three sentiments, and all of them are great for letting that special friend know how you feel about her! I especially love the one snuggling with the dog and a good book....that's my idea of heaven!

The first card is me, staring out the window at the dreary gray, rainy day and dreaming of warmer sunny days, and being able to get out in my garden. My tomato and pepper plants are dreaming of that day, too!

I look forward to the day I don't have to lug them in to the pantry when it gets too cold at night, and then haul them back outside in the morning when it warms up. Oh, to have a heated greenhouse!

The next card is me again (but I'm a blond now, hehe), resigned to the day of rain and burying myself in a gardening book.....or maybe seed catalog. That would be Luke snuggled up to me, but the big doofus would be on his back with his legs in the air.

If you looked closely at the cards you may have noticed a few things from the 2022-2023 annual catalog that starts May 3rd. The first card has Rustic Metallic Adhesive-backed Dots, and the second card has 2021-2023 In Color Opal Rounds and the circle die cut from Stylish Shapes Dies.

That's all I have to share for today, so click "Next" to see what Holly created, or "Previous" to visit Betty again!

CCM Saturday Blog Hop - Happy You are Here!

Today's Create With Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop theme is our new favorite preorder stamp set. Surprisingly, I think my favorite stamp at the moment is the Sending Smiles set, because it is sooo versatile! There are eight occasions that it covers, not to mention the lovely flowers and stems/leaves that are included in the 22 piece set. So that's currently my favorite preorder stamp. Tomorrow it may be different, LOL.

I started by stamping the stems/leaves in Mossy Meadow on Basic White cardstock (3-5/8" x 4-7/8") with some stamped off. The Orchid Oasis flowers were added next, and a strip of coordinating DSP (3/4" x 4-7/8") was adhered to the bottom edge. If you look closely, you can see a narrow strip of glimmer paper along the top of the DSP, too.

The whole thing was matted on Orchid Oasis cardstock (3-7/8" x 5-1/8") and then on the card base. I used the Foam Sheets behind the white die cut 'Sending' so it would pop off the orchid 'Sending' mat. I stamped the 'birthday wishes' and die cut it to be tucked under, and added some butterflies to complete the card. I'm really loving this new In Color. Well, I love them all, but this one had my attention today!

That's all for today - see you next Saturday! Up next is Libby Fens at Libby Stamps. Or click the "back" button to go back to Lori at Loritamarie Crafts.

CCM Saturday Blog Hop - Sad to See You Go!

Today's Create With Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop theme is all about the products that are retiring soon, when the current annual catalog ends on May 2nd. The sadness when the retiring list comes out is almost too much.... but the new products coming sure do help to take some of the sting away!

I'm losing so many stamp sets that it was hard to choose one for this hop. I ended up closing my eyes, reaching in the box full of retiring stamps/bundles, and just grabbing one. Prized Peony was the lucky bundle.

I chose two retiring In Colors, Magenta Madness and Just Jade, as well as some All Together DSP (not in the catalog) that also ends May 2nd. I love the black and white prints, and it really makes the peony pop!

The In Color Square Gems are also retiring, but did you notice a sneak peek at something new? The circle and banner die cuts are part of the new Stylish Shapes dies. There are four banner sizes, six graduated sized circles, and five graduated sized squares. And they all cut stitched (or pierced) inside and outside of the shapes so you can have a fancy window if you want.

That is all for today - see you next Saturday! Up next is Libby Fens at Libby Stamps. Or click the "back" button to go back to Lori at Loritamarie Crafts.

Happiness Abounds!

I thought the stamp set on the top of my box of preorder goodies was so appropriate! That is one big box of happy from the upcoming 2022-2023 Stampin' Up! catalog. Would you like a new catalog? If you live in the United States and don't have a demonstrator I'd be happy to send one. CONTACT ME to request one, and I will get in touch with you. 😊

Stamp Review Crew - Gentle Waves

Welcome to the Stamp Review Crew's Gentle Waves edition! The "Crew" is a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world who pick a stamp set or bundle to highlight on the first and third Mondays of each month, with a bonus hop if there is a fifth Monday. If you landed here from Holly's blog, welcome! There are only four of us today, so it will be a quickie hop.

I have to admit, I was stumped about what to do with this background stamp. The obvious choice was the sailboat on the water, but I wanted to do something a little different. Turned sideways it reminds me of the bark on a tree with light and shadow.

So for an extra twist, I made the tree Flirty Flamingo with gold leaves. That's different enough, right? 😁

My next card is a little more in keeping with the gentle waves theme. I inked it with sponge daubers using Mint Macaron, Pool Party, Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay and Pacific Point.

After adding the palm trees I thought some Matte Black Dot "coconuts" would be cute. They're kind of hard to see, but they are cute.

Just a reminder that Gentle Waves is retiring when the Jan-Jun mini ends on June 30. And the Stitched So Sweetly Dies retire May 2 when the current annual catalog ends.

That's all I have to share for today, so click "Next" to see what Betty at Kitty Stamp created, or "Previous" to see Holly again!
