CCM Saturday Hop - Welcome IN Colors!

Today's Create With Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop theme is to create something using the any of the new IN Colors! Now, you'd think I would have headed immediately for the Boho Blue, but for some reason Moody Mauve kept pulling me in.

I started by stamping the leaf image on a 3-1/8" x 4-3/8" piece of Moody Mauve cardstock using VersaMark ink to make a patterned background. It was matted on 3-3/8" x 4-5/8" gold foil then adhered to the card.

The greeting was stamped and cut with one of the label dies and the sprigs were die cut in gold and adhered to the back. This was popped up on mini dimensionals. After stamping, coloring, and die-cutting the flower, it was adhered with mini dimensionals as well. Just a lovely, simply elegant card, and easy, too!

That's all for today - see you next Saturday! Up next is Libby Fens at Libby Stamps. Or click the "back" button to go back to Lori at Loritamarie Crafts.

CCM Saturday Hop - Hello New Colors!

Today's Create With Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop theme is to use any of the NEW REFRESH colors. I wasn't sure if that included returning colors that are part of the refresh, so I didn't use any of those. But I did use my new favorite blue (no surprise there, 'eh?) Azure Afternoon. It is just the prettiest clear medium blue, which I think we've needed for a while!

I used the Cheerful Daisies bundle with the Fresh as a Daisy DSP because that cloud scene just puts a smile on my face.  Can't you almost feel the breeze and hear the birds singing? 😊 The mat behind it was cut with a Radiating Stitches die, as was the sun peeking out from behind the greeting.

The daisy was outline stamped with Crushed Curry, then filled with Daffodil Delight. The center is Crushed Curry over stamped with Pecan Pie, giving it the illusion of depth.

That's all for today. I hope you have a lovely weekend. Thanks for stopping by! Up next is Libby Fens at Libby Stamps. Or click the "back" button to go back to Lori de Groot at Loritamarie Crafts.

Getting Sketchy with the Freaks

The Freaky theme this month is a sketch challenge! If you landed here from Wendy's blog, welcome! There are six of us this month, so plenty of ideas using this sketch. And here's the sketch; isn't it a dandy?!

Being a country girl at heart I love gingham and daisies, and since my fave color is blue, this was the card that was created. I used some retiring Country Gingham DSP (gosh, I'm going to miss that stuff!), and some new preorder products. Can you spot them?

A returning color (part of the color refresh) is Blueberry Bushel, which is the Cheerful Daisies focal point. But under it is a stitched circle ring in the new Pecan Pie. I like this medium warm brown so much better than the retiring Soft Suede!

And I am very happy to report that the Textured Shimmer Paper is carrying over to the new annual catalog! Woohoo!!!

The rhinestones were colored with a Dark Blueberry Bushel Stampin' Blend. I love the new colors this year, and that they ALL have Stampin' Blends to match!

Up next is Bree, at Craft-somnia Momma. I can't wait to see her take on this sketch!

Global Design Project Color Challenge #389

Since I don't have several of the stamp sets that the Stamp Review Crew are featuring this month and I had some free time on my hands, I decided to play along with the Global Design Project Challenge #389, featuring the colors of Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, and Tahitian Tide. Such yummy, bright colors to play with!

I chose the Season of Chic bundle because I knew I could make something with those flowers and the grid background. I started by blending Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie on a piece of white cardstock to use as a background, then blending Tahitian Tide on a scrap for die cutting the grid. They were popped up over a white mat adhered to the Tahitian Tide card base.

The filler flowers were inked with Daffodil Delight and a Sponge Dauber was used to add Pumpkin Pie to the centers before stamping. The outlines were stamped in Pumpkin Pie. Then all I needed were a few die cut leaves and some Daffodil Delight Loose Frosted Drops to complete the card. Oh, and the sentiment of course. 😊

Product List

CCM Saturday Hop - Sorry To See You Go

Today's Create With Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop theme is "Sorry to see you go" - a stamp set that we wish wasn't retiring. There are a few I'm really sad are going, but I think Cottage Rose tops that list. It's a delightful, easy image to color and the greetings included are great.

I used several more retiring products on this card, starting with all the dies. I can't believe Layering Circles and Stitched Greenery are leaving! They are such good basic elements.

The rose and leaves were stamped in Basic Gray and colored with Daffodil Delight and the soon-to-be-released Lemon Lime Twist Stampin' Blends. The greeting is from Cottage Rose, but the die cut label is in the Floral Gallery Dies.

CCM Saturday Hop - Seaside

Today's Create With Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop theme is Seaside, so cards with a beach, boat, water or seaside image. Beachy things are really trendy now, have you noticed? While I did have a couple sets from the 2022 -23 annual catalog that would work, I wanted to give a new preorder set from the 2023-24 annual catalog a spin. It's called Circle Sayings and it can be bundled with the new 2-3/8" Circle Punch!

This is a simple fun fold card. Score a 5-1/2" x 11" piece of Basic White at 3" and 7-1/4". Emboss the larger flap with the Basics 3D folder (run it sideways through the SCEM). Cut a piece of Bright & Beautiful DSP to 3" x 5-1/2" and adhere to smaller flap. Stamp images and greetings and punch with 2-1/4" Circle Punch (retired, can use circle die instead) and mount on 2-3/8" gold circle.

Add some Rhinestone Basic Jewels colored with a Pretty Peacock Stampin' Blend. Yes, you read that right....Pretty Peacock is coming back! The sun and waves scene was colored with Sponge Daubers using Pretty Peacock, Lemon Lolly, and Azure Afternoon - two new colors!
