Stamp Review Crew - Birds Eye View Bonus

Welcome to the Stamp Review Crew's Bird's Eye View edition! The "Crew" is a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world who pick a stamp set or bundle to highlight on the first and third Mondays of each month, with a bonus hop if there is a fifth Monday. If you landed here from Terri's blog, welcome! There are only four of us today, so the hop should be quick.

Bird's Eye View is an 11 piece photopolymer set that we have featured before, and when I saw we were using it in July, I thought, "Oh well, my last July card won't be a Christmas in July card." HA! When I saw that stack of books I knew it had to be a stack of Christmas Classics!

The evergreen tree masks from Frosted Forest were used for the background to give a holiday feel, with some Shaded Spruce spatters added for fun.

I stamped the stack of books twice and fussy cut them, then colored the book covers and used a fine tip pen to write the titles on the binding. (Note to self: Don't try to write teeny tiny letters when you've had too much coffee.) 😬😄

The books were adhered to the card with dimensionals. The little bird was also fussy cut and attached with dimensionals. The Merry Christmas was borrowed from Greetings of the Season.

That's all I have to share for today, so click "Next" to see what Holly created, or "Previous" to visit Terri again. Thanks for stopping by!

CSF Saturday Hop "Pretty in Pink"

Today's Create With Stamping Friends Saturday Hop theme is the color PINK. Aaaaand I was able to make a non-traditional color Christmas card with the pinks, teehee!

This is going to be a short post, because when I scheduled it, I had just gotten home from a loooong day celebrating my mother's 89th birthday. Too many hours spent driving, and I need to go to bed. *yawn*

So, on PIP cardstock I stamped PIP snowflakes, then heat embossed white ones over them. Stamped and colored the image and cut it and the glimmer background with Deckled Rectangle dies.

That's all for today - see you next Saturday! Up next is Libby Fens at Libby Stamps. Or click the "back" button to go back to Lori at Loritamarie Crafts.

Thursday Challenge - CSF828

This week's Create With Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge is found on page 103 of the catalog.  I think those Sweet Peas are so adorable! I don't have this set, and even if I did, I'd have a hard time making it a Christmas card, lol. So I used the card sketch as inspiration.

I used the die cut and heat embossed greeting from Merriest Trees, and added the side greeting found in Greetings of the Season.

Pool Party, Lost Lagoon, and Pretty Peacock go so well together. I kind of like the non-traditional colors for a little change of pace.

CSF Saturday Hop "The Green Hornet"

This week our Create With Stamping Friends Saturday Hop theme is the color GREEN, my second favorite color, though I do like them all! 🌈

Today's Christmas in July card features Garden Green and Granny Apple Green, with some Old Olive Glimmer as well. So Very Merry is such a fun stamp set, and fussy cutting the bells was a piece of cake since it's a small image with all straight sides. I think Wild Wheat looks a lot like antique gold, so that's what I used for the bells.

The mistletoe greenery was colored with Light Old Olive, Light Shaded Spruce, and then again with Light Old Olive to match the Garden Green card base. Why we don't have Garden Green Stampin' Blends is a mystery, but I can make do! And, yes, I know mistletoe berries are white, but I wanted a little more red to go with the bow.

That's it for this week - see you next Saturday! Up next is Libby Fens at Libby Stamps. Or click the "back" button to go back to Lori at Loritamarie Crafts.
