CSF Saturday Hop - New 2024 In Colors

Today's Create With Stamping Friends Saturday Hop theme is our favorite new In Color! That's a tough call because I love them ALL this year, but right now I guess it's Petunia Pop. I'm sure that will change, though. 😁

This is the card I'm sending Mom, who will be 89 in a couple months, for Mother's day. I'm not worried about her seeing it here, because all she uses her laptop for is playing Solitaire and reading books from the library. Occasionally she gets on Facebook, too, but I don't think she even knows my blog exists, so it's safe to show it now!

I borrowed the Stippled Roses bundle from my friend and downline Sherry, so I could make a bunch of "useful bits" as we like to call them. We swap bundles sometimes so we don't have to each buy everything in the catalog. Our tastes are amazingly similar (she has good taste, haha), so we always have something the other one wants to play with.

Stippled Roses and the Stipples Roses dies are carrying over to the new annual catalog, but they are only available as 10% off bundled savings until the end of this month.

Thursday Challenge - CSF815

Today's Create With Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge is a sketch and I knew immediately that I wanted to use zinnias as the two focal points. Here's the sketch we used:

I am absolutely loving the new In Colors (they start in 6 days!), and for this card I chose Peach Pie on a Basic Beige background. The 4" x 5 1/4" Basic Beige was embossed with the Eyelet 3D folder, and a White Craft ink pad was lightly dragged over to show the detail a little more. It was then adhered to the BB card base. It's subtle in the photos, but shows up better in real life.

Onto the background I added a 2 1/4" x 4" piece of Peach Pie Glimmer Paper and a 1 3/4" x 4 3/4" piece of Peach Pie DSP. The zinnias were cut from Peach Pie and Pumpkin Pie (now I'm hungry for pie, lol) with Crushed Curry and Daffodil Delight centers.

The greeting and Pumpkin Pie zinnia are popped up - everything else is adhered to the card base with liquid glue. That's all for this week. See you next Thursday when the new Stampin' Up! 2024-2025 Annual Catalog will be live!

CSF Saturday Hop - Warmer Weather

Today's Create With Stamping Friends Saturday Hop theme is something that represents Spring's warmer weather. We had the first hummingbirds show up this past week, and that always signals Spring for me!

I am so glad Thoughtful Expressions is carrying over, even if the dies aren't I know I'll be using that hummingbird many more times!

This hummer is colored in Petunia Pop and Shy Shamrock, two of the new In Colors coming May 1st.

Thursday Challenge - CSF814

Our Create with Stamping Friends challenge this week is a fun one - choose a favorite color combination and make it SPARKLE! That's right up my alley, for sure. My favorite color combinations change practically daily, so this week it's grays and purples.

 

I'm loving the new In Color Petunia Pop, and it pairs beautifully with Blackberry Bliss and Moody Mauve. Add in a little Lost Lagoon greenery, and you have a lovely birthday card! I used a sentiment from the retiring Go To Greetings, but the Country Flowers bundle, DSP and glimmer paper are going to be available in just two weeks!

 

The Smoky Slate background is from the Country Lace DSP (item #163415), and measures 4" x 5 1/4". The 1" x 4" sparkly Petunia Pop Glimmer Paper will be found in the 2024-2026 In Color Glimmer Specialty Paper (item #163771). And the little Petunia Pop patterned strip is 3/4" x 3 1/2" and will be found in the 2024-2026 In Color 6" x 6" DSP pack.

You can't see them, but there are small Iridescent Pearls added, too. I didn't realize they'd get lost on the eyelet patterned background. Oops!

CSF Saturday Hop - Bye Bye!

Today's Create With Stamping Friends Saturday Hop theme is to show the stamp/bundle that we are sad to see retire. Gosh, how can I choose? I'm losing thirty-eight! 😧 So, I closed my eyes and put my finger on the first page of the annual catalog Last Chance list, and it landed on Sending Smiles.

I used a couple of retiring products, as well as a new In Color and an Online Exclusive embellishment. I'm sure sorry to see that Glorious Gingham didn't carry over, though some DSP did.

Thursday Challenge - CSF813

Our Create With Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge is a sketch this week. This was the perfect way for me to show off the upcoming new patterns in the color collections of DSP, and today I'm sharing one of the new In Colors - Pretty in Pink. Yes, it's a returning color, and I'm so happy it's back! This is the sketch we are working from today:

You might have noticed another color that's new, too. It's called Basic Beige, and it's a lovely light neutral color which is going to pair well with so many others!

I used a greeting from the new Country Flowers bundle, and die cut some flowers from the same bundle. I can see this one is going to be used a lot. 😊

If you look closely, you'll see the new In Color Shimmer Gems, too. They are perfect for adding a little subtle shine, and they aren't too bulky which is a bonus!

CSF Saturday Hop - In the Spotlight

Today's Create With Stamping Friends Saturday Hop theme is highlight/color one area - and leave the rest neutral. We have a lovely new neutral color coming next month called Basic Beige, so I just had to use it for this card!

And I also had to use the upcoming Country Flowers bundle to make it! That whole suite is just so sweet....I can't wait for you to see it.

Thursday Challenge - CSF812

Welcome to the NEW Create With Stamping Friends! Still the same look and creative team, but now without Mary Brown. I wish her fabulous new adventures as she hits to road to see America! This week our challenge is the colors Coastal Cabana, Berry Burst, and Petal Pink.

I had to use Everyday Details again....it just works so perfectly for so many things. I was going to stamp it and color with Stampin' Blends until I realized we don't have Coastal Cabana Blends. D'oh!

So I heat embossed on watercolor paper instead, and used a water painter with ink to color the image. The greeting stamp says 'Wishing you so much joy on this special day' but I fussy cut it and left off the end. I'll be wishing the recipient joy, and it doesn't matter what day it is!
