CSF Thursday Challenge - CSF838

This week's Create With Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge are the colors Daffodil Delight, Petal Pink, and Poppy Parade. These feel like Fall colors to me, so I used the leaf images and greetings in Iconic Imagery to create the card.

I knew the Leaf Fall 3D embossing folder embosses the leaves at an angle, so I stamped the leaves at an angle (on Very Vanilla) as well, before embossing the background.

A strip of Petal Pink Diagonal Stripe Ribbon was adhered before fastening the background panel to the Petal Pink card base.

The large greeting was stamped with Poppy Parade ink on a scrap of Petal Pink, and the smaller greeting with VersaMark on Poppy Parade, then heat embossed in white. After adhering the smaller greeting, they were die cut together. A few Petal Pink Foiled Gems were added before popping it up on dimensionals on the card.

CSF Saturday Hop - Fave Non-Christmas New Bundle

Today's Create With Stamping Friends Saturday Hop theme is our favorite bundle from the new Sep-Dec Mini Catalog that ISN'T Christmas. Well, I kind of fudged a little because the More Than Autumn could be used for Christmas, but the main focus is Fall.

This is the card we made last Saturday in our stamp club. I'm not going to go into detail because we just got our Internet back, but power is still out (thankful for the Generac), so I'm scheduling this quick in case it all crashes again.

That's all for today - see you next Saturday! Up next is Libby Fens at Libby Stamps. Or click the "back" button to go back to Lori at Loritamarie Crafts.

CSF Thursday Challenge - CSF837 This Calls For....

... Hot Cocoa with marshmallows, a peppermint stir stick, and gingerbread men! This week's Create With Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge is a sketch and I used the More Than Autumn bundle for this sweet card. Here's the sketch:

The (2" x 5 1/2") peppermint striped DSP can be found in the Take a Bow 6" x 6" DSP pack. I think it's awesome that there are 12 sheets of each of the four double-sided designs, so there's plenty for making multiple cards!

After stamping the candy canes in Real Red and adhering the DSP, I added a 1/4" strip of Real Red Festive Glimmer Paper. A Stylish Shapes die cut circle using more of the Take a Bow DSP was adhered on top. The cup was stamped and colored with Crumb Cake and Real Red Stampin' Blends and I added Light Smoky Slate shadows to the marshmallows. Gingerbread men were stamped on Pecan Pie and heat embossed with the white WOW! embossing powder. All were popped up on dimensionals.

CSF Saturday Hop - Punched Backgrounds

Today's Create With Stamping Friends Saturday Hop theme is to make a background using punched shapes. I've seen some really awesome cards using the Heartfelt Hexagon punch, so I went to work on some Season of Elegance DSP to make this simple card.

After attaching the punched pieces to a Basic White background, I trimmed it down to 4" x 5 1/4" and adhered it to the Cherry Cobbler card base. Then it was just a matter of die cutting the greeting pieces in the Peaceful Season bundle, adhering them to some Cherry Cobbler (matted on Basic White) and popping it all up on dimensionals!

CSF Thursday Challenge CSF836

This week's Create With Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge are the colors Peach Pie, Highland Heather, and Summer Splash.

Now one wouldn't ordinarily imagine a snowman using these colors, but I had a vision, lol. I embossed the image in silver onto watercolor paper and used water painters to color it.

The watered down Peach Pie made a lovey warm glow behind the snow fellow and tree, and used full strength made a great carrot nose, hat band and scarf. Summer Splash worked for the tree, and watered down made the shadows on the snowman. I did cheat a little and used Pecan Pie and Smoky Slate for the sled.

Because the Purple Fine Shimmer Gems on the tree weren't enough shine, I added Summer Splash Glimmer through the die cut tag. 😉
