CSF Saturday Hop "Pretty in Pink"

Today's Create With Stamping Friends Saturday Hop theme is the color PINK. Aaaaand I was able to make a non-traditional color Christmas card with the pinks, teehee!

This is going to be a short post, because when I scheduled it, I had just gotten home from a loooong day celebrating my mother's 89th birthday. Too many hours spent driving, and I need to go to bed. *yawn*

So, on PIP cardstock I stamped PIP snowflakes, then heat embossed white ones over them. Stamped and colored the image and cut it and the glimmer background with Deckled Rectangle dies.

That's all for today - see you next Saturday! Up next is Libby Fens at Libby Stamps. Or click the "back" button to go back to Lori at Loritamarie Crafts.

Thursday Challenge - CSF828

This week's Create With Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge is found on page 103 of the catalog.  I think those Sweet Peas are so adorable! I don't have this set, and even if I did, I'd have a hard time making it a Christmas card, lol. So I used the card sketch as inspiration.

I used the die cut and heat embossed greeting from Merriest Trees, and added the side greeting found in Greetings of the Season.

Pool Party, Lost Lagoon, and Pretty Peacock go so well together. I kind of like the non-traditional colors for a little change of pace.

CSF Saturday Hop "The Green Hornet"

This week our Create With Stamping Friends Saturday Hop theme is the color GREEN, my second favorite color, though I do like them all! 🌈

Today's Christmas in July card features Garden Green and Granny Apple Green, with some Old Olive Glimmer as well. So Very Merry is such a fun stamp set, and fussy cutting the bells was a piece of cake since it's a small image with all straight sides. I think Wild Wheat looks a lot like antique gold, so that's what I used for the bells.

The mistletoe greenery was colored with Light Old Olive, Light Shaded Spruce, and then again with Light Old Olive to match the Garden Green card base. Why we don't have Garden Green Stampin' Blends is a mystery, but I can make do! And, yes, I know mistletoe berries are white, but I wanted a little more red to go with the bow.

That's it for this week - see you next Saturday! Up next is Libby Fens at Libby Stamps. Or click the "back" button to go back to Lori at Loritamarie Crafts.

Thursday Challenge - CSF827

This week's Create With Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge is another catalog CASE. This time I used the card sketch and the vehicle theme, but kept my Christmas in July theme, too! Here's the catalog inspiration:

The Trucking Along stamp set is perfect for this, not only because of the trucks (gotta love those old trucks!), but because it has holiday images and sentiments, as well as Spring, Summer, and Fall.

I started with 1 3/8" strips of Basic White onto which I stamped the trucks and sentiment. The Christmas tree was stamped with Shaded Spruce (filler stamped off) in the back of one of the trucks, then the trucks and gifts were colored with Stampin' Blends. I arranged them on a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece of Shaded Spruce and used the largest Deckled Rectangle die to cut them out.

A 3 7/8" x 5 1/4" Shaded Spruce mat was adhered to the Basic Beige card base and the deckled die cut added with Stampin' Dimensionals. Some Adhesive-backed Snowflakes were added as well, for a festive finish. Now here's where the story takes a twist.... I adhered everything to the card with the fold on the wrong side! Have you ever done that? Well, if you have, I hope you have a Take Your Pick Tool in your crafting tool kit, because it's a life saver! That little flat paddle end slipped under the Shaded Spruce mat and I was able to carefully lift it off and turn it the right way. 👍

Stamp Review Crew - Layers of Beauty

Welcome to the Stamp Review Crew's Layers of Beauty edition! The "Crew" is a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world who pick a stamp set or bundle to highlight on the first and third Mondays of each month, with a bonus hop if there is a fifth Monday. If you landed here from Heidi's blog, welcome! There are six of us today, and I can't wait to see what the crew designed with this gorgeous set!

Layers of Beauty is a nine piece photopolymer set with a beautiful rose bouquet image that I take great delight in coloring. The bundle includes eleven dies, and there is even a set of masks for people who don't want to color. I love coloring, so I grabbed my Stampin' Blends and got to work!

In keeping with my Christmas in July theme this month, I made it a Christmas Rose card, using some fussy-cut bits from Season of Green & Gold Specialty DSP, gold trim, a gold embossed greeting from the Keeping Tabs set, and pearls....lots of pearls! I used gold Blooming Pearls for the bell clappers, and Iridescent Pearls for mistletoe berries.

That's all I have to share for today, so click "Next" to see what Terri created, or "Previous" to visit Heidi again. Thanks for stopping by!
