CCM Saturday Hop - Stretch it Out

Today's Create With Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop theme is slim-line cards! Popular slimline sizes are 3-1/2" x 8-1/2" (or big slimline 4" x 9"), either of which will fit in a #10 business envelope.

I started with 6-1/4" x 6-1/2" cardstock, and scored the 6-1/2" side at 3-1/4" which resulted in a 3-1/4" x 6-1/4" finished mini slimline card. I really like making minis because if you're using DSP as a background you can get two cards from one sheet of 6x6 or eight cards from a 12x12 sheet, with no waste! And I make my own envelopes* to fit, using retired DSP. 😉

Since I'm always in need of birthday cards, I chose Biggest Wish for the stamp set and added some fun die cuts from Beautiful Balloons and Darling Details.

To make the balloon strings, I unraveled some gold Simply Elegant Trim and used individual strands on each balloon. It reminds me of balloons with curly ribbon strings!

That's all for today - see you next Saturday! Up next is Libby Fens at Libby Stamps. Or click the "back" button to go back to Lori at Loritamarie Crafts.

Stamp Review Crew - Beautiful Balloons

Welcome to the Stamp Review Crew's Beautiful Balloons edition! The "Crew" is a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world who pick a stamp set or bundle to highlight on the first and third Mondays of each month, with a bonus hop if there is a fifth Monday. If you landed here from Jay's blog, welcome! There are five of us today, and you can see the blog roll by clicking the graphic above.

Beautiful Balloons is a 16 piece photopolymer stamp set that has a 13 piece die set to match. If you purchase both, you get the 10% bundle discount. This is just the most awesome set for celebrating, whether birthdays, graduations, new babies, accomplishments, new homes, or just about anything! There is a lovely suite of coordinating DSP and Specialty DSP, as well.

Today I have a simple card using the balloon die cuts and the streamer stamps. This would be an easy card to make multiples of, in various colors, to have handy!

I had more ideas, but ran out of time due to life getting in the way of my crafting. (Darn adulting, lol.) Guess I'll save them for another time.

So that's it for today. Click "Next" to see what Mike over at Stampin-Style has created, or "Previous" to visit Jay again. Thanks for stopping by!

CCM Saturday Hop - Summer Lovin'

Today's Create With Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop theme is SUMMER LOVIN' - what we love about Summer. There are sooo many things that I love about Summer (and a few things I don't, like the bugs and humidity 😜), but some of my most happy childhood memories are of days spent at the beach.

Since my father was career Navy, we spent all our time on one coast or the other, so beaches were always nearby. Funny how the Atlantic Ocean is so much warmer than the Pacific Ocean. That was a shock when we moved to the west coast the first time!

I chose this beachy scene from the Oceanfront stamp set, and added the seashells and greeting from Season of Chic. I wonder whatever happened to all the seashells I collected when I was little? Mom, did you toss them every time we moved??? 😆

That's all for today - see you next Saturday! Up next is Libby Fens at Libby Stamps. Or click the "back" button to go back to Lori at Loritamarie Crafts.

CCM Saturday Hop - Birthday Bash

Today's Create With Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop theme is BIRTHDAY BASH.

We always need birthday cards, right? My new "go-to" for birthdays is Beautiful Balloons because it works for any age or gender.

Today I'm leaning more toward a masculine birthday card, but it really would work for anyone, especially if their favorite color is blue (like yours truly 😁).

Stamp Review Crew - In The Moment

Welcome to the Stamp Review Crew's IN THE MOMENT edition! The "Crew" is a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world who pick a stamp set or bundle to highlight on the first and third Mondays of each month, with a bonus hop if there is a fifth Monday. If you landed here from Stacey's blog, welcome! There are seven of us today.

In the Moment is a six piece cling stamp set with three beautiful images and three sentiments. It's a perfect set for letting a friend know you're thinking of them, or just letting them know they're going to be okay.

This card was made for a friend who was just diagnosed with the big C. Fortunately it is one that can be cured with treatment, so she should be all right. (I pray.)

The image was die cut with the largest Stylish Shapes square die and matted on a Basic Black 2 15/16" square. The 3 1/4" square Pecan Pie was embossed with the Exposed Brick 3D folder and the background was embossed with the cross hatch Basics 3D folder.

That's all I have to share for today, so click "Next" to see what the awesome Jay Soriano created, or "Previous" to visit Stacey again. Thanks for stopping by!
