CSF Saturday Hop - Pocket Cards

Today's Create With Stamping Friends Saturday Hop theme is Pocket Cards. This is a quick and easy card using Country Lace DSP folded back on itself to form the pocket.

I used a Designer Tags die for the pull-out part and brushed Petal Pink on with a Blending Brush, highlighting the heart and greeting that was heat embossed in copper to coordinate with the textured copper die cuts.

CSF Thursday Challenge - CSF833

This week's Create With Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge is a simple sketch that can work for so many occasions! I've been having fun with the sled in the Sophisticated Sled bundle, so I thought I'd give the ice skates a try. Oh my, they were so much fun to "build"! Here's the inspiration sketch:

I used a strip of Snowy Scenes DSP (available Sep. 4) for the background and added the icicles and snow using the Frozen Edges dies (also available Sep. 4) and white glimmer paper.

The circles (Basic White and Pool Party) on which the skates are featured were cut with Spotlight on Nature dies, with the ice skates popped up on dimensionals.

CSF Saturday Hop - Zig Zag Folds

Today's Create With Stamping Friends Saturday Hop theme is Zig Zag fun folds, and I have a fun Pop Out Zig Zag card for you today!

I used the Citrus Blooms bundle and Mediterranean Blooms DSP for this cute card. And really, other than cutting the DSP and matting it on Basic White, this was a pretty easy card to put together.

The only stamping was the Lemon Lolly blossoms and the Night of Navy greetings. The image of the orange with the blossoms is one of the patterns in the DSP, and there's a die for that!

I can see I need to play with this set a lot more. Especially because I can color the images in the stamp set if I'm not in a hurry. 😁 Here's what the card looks like from above:

CSF Thursday Challenge - CSF832

This week's Create With Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge is the colors Lemon Lolly, Night of Navy, and Peach Pie.

We just had the Great Smoky Mountains Hot Air Balloon Festival last weekend, so that was my inspiration for this card.

Night of Navy was blended on Basic White cardstock and a strip of Peach Pie DSP was added to the bottom, then it was cut with a Perennial Postage die. I used a Light Lemon Lolly Stampin' Blend to color the white Diagonal Trim and adhered it over the seam.

The balloons were stamped and die cut, then popped up on dimensionals over the die cut clouds. The greeting was fussy cut and also popped up on dimensionals.

Stamp Review Crew - Cheerful Daisies

Welcome to the Stamp Review Crew's CHEERFUL DAISIES edition! The "Crew" is a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world who pick a stamp set or bundle to highlight on the first and third Mondays of each month, with a bonus hop if there is a fifth Monday. If you landed here from Terri's blog, welcome! There are five of us today.

The Cheerful Daisies bundle is one of my favorite sets because it works for Spring, Summer, and Fall. It's a 15 piece photopolymer stamp set with a 14 piece die set to match. Spring and Fall are my two favorite seasons, so I made cards in those colors for my project today.

My first card features Brown-eyed Susans made from the Cheerful Daisies dies. These bright flowers are blooming like crazy right now and are a reminder that summer is coming to an end and FALL is right around the corner!

I used lots of layers, beginning with the Basic Beige So Swirly embossed background. The Pecan Pie circle behind the daisies is from Nature's Sweetness Specialty DSP, cut with a Spotlight on Nature die. The daisies were watercolored with Crushed Curry, Pecan Pie, and Mossy Meadow, with Crushed Curry layered on top. The greeting was borrowed from Iconic Imagery and fussy cut.

The Spring card is the complete opposite, no multiple layers upon layers! The small daisies were stamped in Bubble Bath and Lemon Lolly, with Soft Sea Foam leaves added on the Basic White background. I added white Pearlized Enamel dots for some subtle shimmer.

Keeping it simple, a Petunia Pop circle was added behind the Petunia Pop stamped greeting on the label.

That's all I have to share for today, so click "Next" to see what Jay created, or "Previous" to visit Terri again. Thanks for stopping by!
