CSF Thursday Challenge - CSF870

This week's Create With Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge are the colors Secret Sea, Strawberry Slush, and Old Olive.

Originally I had planned to color the Extraordinary Flora image with Stampin' Blends, but the Light Secret Sea Blend is still pretty dark, so I got out my trusty Blender Pens which haven't seen daylight in a while. I love using them because I have total control over the degree of saturation. After pressing the back of the ink pad firmly against the lid, I had a nice pool of color to work with. šŸ‘

The Sentimental Framing Dies are so much fun! I used one for the Old Olive frame and another one for the greeting (from The Right Words).

CSF Saturday Blog Hop - Favorite New DSP 2025

Today's Create With Stamping Friends Saturday Hop theme is our favorite new DSP. Sadly, I don't have any of the new DSP from the 2025-26 annual catalog (YET), so I'm using my favorite Online Exclusive that was just released this month, Floral Impressions. I love everything about this paper, from the colors used, to the simple patterns, to the floral images!

On a Fresh Freesia card base I adhered two of the patterns cut with Perennial Postage dies. A Basic White arch was die cut with Everyday Arches and the greeting was stamped in Memento ink. I used a spritzer tool to add Blackberry Bliss spatters.

The blossom was stamped in Petunia Pop on Fresh Freesia cardstock and die cut with Old Olive leaves and Blackberry Bliss tiny blooms added. A bit of Gold Striped Ribbon was tucked under the flower for some shine.

That's all for today - see you next Saturday! Up next is Libby Fens at Libby Stamps. Or click the "back" button to go back to Lori de Groot at Loritamarie Crafts.

CSF Thursday Challenge - CSF869

This week's Create With Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge is a sketch which really made showing off some new DSP a breeze. Here's the sketch:

I'm so happy Strawberry Slush returned, and this Strawberry Slush pattern in the Floral Impressions DSP is so delicate and pretty. I used the middle size Stylish Shapes square to cut the square pieces, and a different pattern from the DSP for the bottom half of the card.

The top half is Wood Textured Specialty Paper. It's subtle, but with just the right amount of texture. A strip of gold 1/8" ribbon separates the two halves.

The greeting and label die cuts are from Unbounded Love. I thought the label needed a bit more pop, so I layered it over a gold die cut. A bit more gold from the Low Profile Dots finished the card.

CSF Saturday Blog Hop - Favorite New Bundle 2025

Today's Create With Stamping Friends Saturday Hop theme is our favorite bundle from the new catalog. Surprisingly (to me, anyway), my favorite bundle is Notes & Totes! I'm not much into beachy things, but for some reason this just caught my fancy.

I started by masking off a horizon on Basic White, and used Blending Brushes with Coastal Cabana, Pretty Peacock, and Azure Afternoon to make the water and sky background.

Some Basic Beige was torn to make the sandy beach, with the greeting stamped in Pecan Pie. Then it was a matter of "building" the tote and accessories, and adding the tree leaves (Citrus Blooms dies) peeking in from the corner! No embellishments needed for this card - the die cut details are enough!

That's all for today - see you next Saturday! Libby can't make it this week, so up next is Melissa Davies at Rubber FUNatics. Or click the "back" button to go back to Lori de Groot at Loritamarie Crafts.
