CSF Saturday Blog Hop - Red & Green

Today's Create With Stamping Friends Saturday Hop theme is Red and Green which, of course, brings Christmas to mind. 🎄🎅 Right now the only Christmassy bundle I have (that isn't retired) is one called Peace on Earth, which will be coming in the Sep-Dec 2025 holiday catalog.

The suite includes DSP and Specialty Paper (not shown here), ribbon, self-adhesive embellishments, and the pretty Peaceful Greenery 3D embossing folder. I love it! I used the embossing folder on the Granny Apple Green background, the dove dies, olive branches, and the two label dies for the greeting and mat behind the greeting.

Measurements

  • Card base: Real Red 5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored/folded at 4-1/4"

CSF Thursday Challenge - CSF877

This week's Create With Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge inspiration is found on page 114 of the catalog. I liked the layout of the card, but they used Petunia Pop, and I chose Strawberry Slush.

Strawberry Slush 2025-2027 In Color DSP was adhered to the Strawberry Slush card base first. Instead of brayering ink over Wood Textured Specialty Paper like they did, I chose to go the easy (spelled l-a-z-y) route and used Flower Garden Foils. 😉

The four rectangles were adhered to a Strawberry Slush mat and popped up on the card base. The greeting was stamped and die cut with a Spotlight on Nature die, and popped up over the rectangles. After coloring and die cutting the flower, I cut a couple more leaves from Granny Apple Green to add behind the flower. They were all popped up over a folded piece of  Strawberry Slush ribbon.

Measurements

  • Card base: Strawberry Slush 5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored/folded at 4-1/4"
  • DSP: Strawberry Slush leaf pattern 4" x 5-1/4"
  • Mat: Strawberry Slush 3-1/2" x 4"
  • Rectangles: Strawberry Slush Flower Garden Foil 1-5/8" x 1-7/8" (x 4)
  • Circle: Basic White cut with 2-3/4" Spotlight on Nature die

CSF Saturday Blog Hop - Black & White

Today's Create With Stamping Friends Saturday Hop theme is to use only Black & White on our projects. I do think B&W with other colors, like yellow, red, or turquoise, can be striking, but so can just B&W by itself!

I started by die cutting the blossoms from Impressions Abloom and stamping the centers in black. I used the Fine-tip Glue Pen to make the centers shiny, and set them aside to dry. While waiting for them to dry, I adhered the Irresistible Designs Specialty DSP to the black card base and die cut the leaves.

The greeting label from Sentimental Framing Dies was cut first and the greeting stamped on after. That die is a solid piece, which would have made lining up the greeting difficult if I had stamped first, then cut. The black mat behind it is the center of the next-largest die and fits perfectly. Then all I had to do was arrange the flowers and leaves over a few loops of Baker's Twine!

That's all for today - see you next Saturday! Up next is Libby Fens at Libby Stamps. Or click the "back" button to go back to Lori de Groot at Loritamarie Crafts.

CSF Thursday Challenge - CSF876

This month for the Thursday challenges, the challenge team will be CASEing the catalog! We can use the colors, or the layout, or the stamps/embellishments, or any combination thereof. Today's Create With Stamping Friends challenge is this card on page 110:

I really liked the cool colors and the layout, but didn't have the stamp set. Plus, I couldn't get a good image using the clear blocks to stamp the colors, so I chose to use cardstock embossed with the Mini Corrugated folder instead.

For the beverage, I fussy cut the glass of lemonade from the DSP, and used a small paint brush to brush glue from the Fine-tip Glue Pen bottle over it for that frosty glass look. The lemon slice was stamped in Daffodil Delight with Lemon Lime Twist sponged around the edge before being die cut, and the Iridescent Striped Trim mimics the striped DSP in the inspiration photo.
