Stamp Review Crew - Nothing's Better Than

Welcome to the Stamp Review Crew's Nothing's Better Than edition! The "Crew" is made up of a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world who pick a stamp set or bundle to highlight on the first and third Mondays of each month, with a bonus hop if there is a fifth Monday. If you landed here from the always amazing Mike's blog, Stampin-Style, welcome! There are eight of us today, and I can't wait to see what the crew made with this adorable set.

Nothing's Better Than
is a 26 piece photopolymer set that covers just about every decadent indulgence fit for consumption! Are you a coffee fiend? I am! I just need that second cup in the morning to wake up the ol' brain cells. Do you have a weakness for chocolate or cookies? Or maybe an adult beverage or three? We gotcha covered with this set! There is also a coordinating 9 piece die set called Love You More Than. Between the dies and the oh-so-appropriate sentiments in the set, this is just a must have!

My first card really captures how I feel about that lovely steaming liquid that helps me function in the morning. My brain isn't fully awake until after about 10:30 a.m. (which made high school SO much fun - not) so I'm on auto pilot until the coffee kicks in.

The "Coffee" was die cut three times from Early Espresso (how apropos) and layered slightly offset for a bold look, which is how I like my coffee, coincidentally.

Smiley from Millan.Net

After heat embossing the coffee cup (white on Basic White) the background was colored with Blending Brushes and Coastal Cabana, Mango Melody, and Granny Apple Green ink. I thought the bright colors would go well with the Early Espresso card base. They're subtle, but a few clear epoxy embellishments added just a wee bit of shine.

My second card features yummy adult beverages. Last week it was so hot here, I could have relished an nice cold glass (or two) or Sangria. But alas, there's a ton of sugar in there which I'm trying to avoid. So, it's coffee, unsweet tea, and water for me.

I chose the drink colors from the Rainbow Glimmer Paper. It just looked like fruity goodness to me. *smile*

This is going to a friend for her birthday next week. I know she will appreciate it, even if the drinks aren't real.

That's all from me, now hop on over to see what Kelly at My Papercraft Journey has made!

CCM Saturday Blog Hop - Fave Annual Set or Bundle

Today's Create With Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop theme is our favorite stamp set or bundle in the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog. Well, my favorite set is Hand-Penned Petals, but I've used that one so much I thought I'd give a different set some love. There are so many lovely sets to work with! I decided to use Celebrate With Flowers, which is on page 62 of the catty. The first thing that jumped out at me when I saw it was the vertical Happy Birthday. I like using vertical sentiments, so I had to get it, but didn't pay much attention to the other stamps in that set until I had it in my hands.

Well, I absolutely love the possibilities with this stamp set! For today's card I went with a totally neutral color scheme and layout that can be used for any gender.

Gold looks fab with Basic Gray (see the Simply Elegant DSP to see what I mean!), so I used a strip of the gold metallic specialty paper and the adorable little bumblebees to lend an elegant look to the card. The scalloped border was made with a Penned Flowers die, so I did use something from that suite, anyway!

That's my share for today. Now click the Next button to jump over to Libby Fens at Libby Stamps, or the Back button to see what Mary Brown at Stamper Camper's Corner has made!
