CSF Saturday Blog Hop - Animal Love

Today's Create With Stamping Friends Saturday Hop theme is Animal Love, and the animals in Storybook Friends were perfect for this theme! Don't the rabbits remind you of Peter Rabbit?

The cute little fellow is offering his lady friend a "bouquet" of lettuce. I'm okay with the rabbits running around our farm, but like Farmer McGregor, I want them to stay out of my garden!

CSF Thursday Challenge - CSF853

This week's Create With Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge is a sketch. This is the sketch we are using this week:

I'm REALLLLY longing for Spring. It's just been stupid cold for too long, and I need to thaw out so I'm using Spring colors (while sitting here with my heater fan on high), and making a Spring-y birthday card.

Delightful Wished dies made the cut out design in the Daffodil Delight panel, which was embossed with the Painted Texture 3D folder. Floral Delight DSP provided the angled pieces (2" x 4") as well as the fussy cut flower/leaf combination. Tiny Bee Trinkets (so stinkin' cute!) were added with mini glue dots, as was the Daffodil Delight bow.

The Delightful Wishes stamp set was used for the greeting, but only the Happy Birthday part was inked up. The label die was then used to cut it out, and it was run through the SCEM twice to shorten it.

CSF Saturday Blog Hop - Hearts & More Hearts!

Today's Create With Stamping Friends Saturday Hop theme is a hearty helping of HEARTS!

I started with a Melon Mambo card base and stamped the floral stem from Adoring Hearts* using VersaMark ink to create a patterned background. After stamping, coloring and fussy cutting the floral heart, I popped it up offset from the Pretty in Pink glimmer heart that was die cut using a Hearts of Elegance die.

I used more PIP glimmer for the 1 1/2" x 4 1/4" strip matted on 1 3/4" x 4 1/4" Basic White to show off the embossed/die cut hearts from the Adoring Hearts hybrid die and embossing folder.

* I didn't realize the stamp set is no longer available, but the hybrid embossing folder & dies still are.

CSF Thursday Challenge - CSF852

This week's Create With Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge is a color challenge that immediately made me think of a Valentine's box of chocolates, for some reason. (Maybe I'm getting critically low on dark chocolate, lol.) Here are the colors:

I used the Forever Plaid embossing folder on the Early Espresso to mimic a bar of dark chocolate. The greeting was stamped on Basic White and cut with the large dotted heart die in the Hearts of Elegance bundle. Helpful hint: Put a piece of waxed paper between the die and cardstock. All those little dots do not want to let go of the cardstock!!!

The two Melon Mambo hearts were die cut, with the larger of the two glued under the white heart and the smaller popped up over it. I then stamped the blossom using Melon Mambo, and leaves in Granny Apple Green. After die cutting them, I glued the leaves under the flower, and then popped it up on dimensionals like the little heart.

A few Melon Mambo Adhesive-backed Shiny Sequins were added for a little sparkle. Those sequins are on the Last Chance list, so get 'em while you can! Now excuse me, while I go find some chocolate. 😆

CSF Saturday Blog Hop - Favorite Sale-A-Bration Product

Today's Create With Stamping Friends Saturday Hop theme is our favorite Sale-A-Bration product. SAB is in full swing, and goes through the end of next month while supplies last. Well, I have several faves, so I used them all on this card. 😁

My top picks from SAB are:

  • Heart Shaped bundle on page 12
  • Bloom Impressions DSP and Purple Adhesive-backed Sequins on page 11
  • Fresh Freesia Seam Binding Ribbon on page 9 (seam binding makes the prettiest bows!)

I stamped the heart in Garden Green, and die cut a Granny Apple Green heart for the overlay. The blossoms were stamped in Fresh Freesia, with Berry Burst (Stampin' Write) centers. A couple leaves were die cut from Garden Green. The Strips of Bloom Impressions measure 3/4" x 4 3/4" and are both sides of one sheet.
