SOTW - A Touch of Ink

Today is the last day of this week's SOTW, so I wanted to share two more cards before we move on to other things. The first one is such a pretty, feminine card that I'm sending to someone who needs a pick-me-up. The background is embossed with the Scripty 3D folder and Flirty Flamingo was lightly sponged over.

All the images were stamped in Crumb Cake (sponge dauber application). The flowers and hummingbird were fussy cut, but I left the leaves flat on the greeting panel, which was cut out with a Stitched So Sweetly die.

The hummingbird's eye is a small rhinestone colored with a dark Basic Black Stampin' Blend, and some Opal Rounds added a bit of shimmery color.

For the next card I rolled out the good ol' Spotlight technique. The card base was stamped with the leaves inked in Crumb Cake, as above.

The spotlighted image was stamped in Memento, then colored with Stampin' Blends. The largest square in the Stitched Shapes Dies was used to cut it out, and a Basic Black mat was added before affixing it to the card base with dimensionals.

The sentiment is from Itty Bitty Birthdays, and just cracks me up! I think this would be a good birthday card for my hubby, LOL.

Be sure to check back tomorrow for a new SOTW! (Hint: Love is in the air!)
