Welcome to the Stamp Review Crew's Tasteful Touches
edition! The "Crew" is made up of a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators
from around the world who pick a stamp set or bundle to highlight on the
first
and third Mondays of each month, with a bonus hop if there is a fifth
Monday.
If you landed here from Bronwyn's blog, AddINKtive Designs, welcome! There are NINE of us today, so there should be lots to inspire you!
Tasteful Touches is a nine piece cling stamp set with some fun images and greetings. It coordinated with the ten piece Tasteful labels Dies. I decided to make some quick note cards to tuck into gifts I'm sending out.
I was going to use DSP for the background but there was a Blending Brush on my messy desk that needed to be put away before I could make anything, and it occurred to me that a blended background would be kind of fun. So this set of monochromatic note cards was born!
I love that feather, but really wish the dies had included a die for it - lots of fussy cutting involved with these cards.
Since signs of Spring are all around here now, I chose the bright colors of Melon mambo, Bermuda Bay, Granny Apple Green, and Mango Melody.
Blending the backgrounds was so smoooooth! Love those new Blending Brushes. It took all of two minutes for me to figure out the technique so I wouldn't get dark blobs.
That's my share for today, so jump on over to see what Mary at Center Stage Stamping has made!
