Stamp Review Crew - Dragonfly Garden

Welcome to the Stamp Review Crew's Dragonfly Garden edition! The "Crew" is made up of a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world who pick a stamp set or bundle to highlight onthe first and third Mondays of each month, with a bonus hop if there is a fifth Monday. If you landed here from Kelly's blog, My Papercraft Journey, welcome! There are seven of us today, so take a look at what the crew made!

Dragonfly Garden is a nine piece cling stamp set in the Jan-Jun Mini catalog, that has a dragonfly punch to match. The stamp set and punch ARE being carried over to the new annual catalog, and you can still get them as a bundle and save 10%!

I have two cards to share today - one using some of the items in the Dandy Garden Suite, and the other using new items coming on May 4th with the new annual catalog. Let's start with the new, shall we?

The dragonfly image was colored with Fresh Freesia (new In Color!) and Balmy Blue Stampin' Blends, then punched out. The little dragonflies (Mayflies?) were stamped in VersaMark on the Fresh Freesia cardstock, which was then cute with the new Basic Borders Dies.

It was embossed with Tasteful Textile 3D folder, and some Fresh Freesia Open Weave Ribbon was added, along with a few 2021-2023 In Color Jewels to match.

The next card is a great way to say thanks to a special friend. After adding Bumblebee and Mossy Meadow to the background with Blending Brushes, the flowers were stamped in Basic Gray.

Since we don't have a Bumblebee Stampin' Blend, I used Light Mango Melody to color the come flowers, and a Light Mossy Meadow Blend for the leaves. The image was cut with the Stitched Rectangles Dies, and carefully cut again to narrow it.

The Gold Hoops Embellishments is not going to carry over, unfortunately. Too bad, because they make a nice focal point.

That's my share for today, so jump on over to see what Heidi at Runningw Scissors Stamper has made!

  2. I love the iridescent look of the dragonfly wings on your first card, Cindy, and the soft look of the second card even with the strong background colors. Both cards are just beautiful!
