The Control Freaks Flower Garden

This month's tour theme is Flower Garden - my favorite theme! But a funny thing happened on the way to the tour (I'll tell you about it at the end). If you just landed here from Tami's blog welcome! Weren't her projects amazing? Follow the links at the end of each page to go on to the next stop on the hop. There are nine of us today, so you should see lots of inspiration!

My first card features the Hand-Penned Petals bundle, with a scalloped die cut from the Color & Contour bundle used next. Pale Papaya and Granny Apple Green are just so soft and pretty in real life.

Some Open Weave Ribbon and 2021-2023 In Color Jewels added the perfect feminine touch. (I'm sad that the Subtle 3D embossing folder is retiring May 3rd. I use it a LOT.)

The next card features the Color & Contour bundle, with a few other new goodies as well. I love the pop of Polished Pink against the black & white of True Love DSP.

The die-cut curve was made with the Basic Borders Dies and the twine is from two new packs - Baker's Twine Essentials Pack (five neutrals!) and Simply Elegant Trim (gold & silver cord).

And those tiny little flowers! Sooo adorable, and just perfect for a little something extra!

So....this afternoon I knew we had a hop scheduled, but I knew it was about flowers and I thought, "No prob! I have lots of floral images to play with, including some new goodies, so I can knock out a few cards in a few hours." Then I went to the chicken coop to gather eggs and throw the girls a treat. While I was there, I decided to straighten the feed room a bit. Next thing I knew, three hours had gone by, it was two hours until deadline, I still needed to feed the fur kids, cook supper for my husband, come up with a design, take pics and write a blog post. EEEEK! So, even though I had lots of ideas swirling in my noggin, these two were all I could pull off, given the time frame!

Up next is Melissa Davies, at the Rubber Funatics. She's going to knock your socks off, I'm sure!
