Be Merry!

We are merrily preparing (or trying to, anyway) for the arrival in a few weeks of SHEEP! We are getting two Katahdin ewes, and if I can convince my hubby, two ewe lambs that one of them had this spring. It may take some convincing, LOL.

The snag we have run into is, the pasture where they will be kept has overgrown with weeds, and needs to be bush hogged before we can even think about installing the fence. It's too sloped and rocky for a tractor and mowing deck, so we really need a bush hog.

Anyway, the ewes are named Cinnamon and Nutmeg, and their coloring is similar to the one on this card. Since they are hair sheep, we won't have to shear them; they will shed their winter coat every spring just like many animals do!

Nutmeg & her twins. Aren't they aDORable???
