Star of Light OnStage Swap

One of the (many) joys of being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, beside making new friends, is going to SU events and getting to swap with other demos. It's such a great way to get new ideas, as well as samples of stamp sets I may not have. I DO have the Star of Light bundle, so this card made by Colleen Dewey is wonderful inspiration for me. Talk about over-the-top gorgeous - the picture really doesn't do justice to the sparkly wonderfulness of it! For all its beauty, this is an easy card to make, with lots of WOW factor.

The Star of Light stamp set is available as a bundle with the Starlight Thinlits, so you can save 10% when you buy both.

Here's the "How To"
Star: Whisper White and Gold Glimmer 3-1/8" x 3-3/4"
 Stamped background: Whisper White 3-3/4" x 5"
 Mat: Crumb Cake 4" x 5-1/4"
Card base: Soft Suede 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" scored and folded at 4-1/4"
  1. Stamp swirl and greeting in Crumb Cake on larger Whisper White cardstock. Adhere to Crumb Cake mat and then to card base.
  2. Die cut stars with Starlight Thinlits dies. Adhere Whisper White filigree star over Gold Glimmer star. Attach to card with Stampin' Dimensionals.
  3. Make a bow with Gold Baker's Twine and adhere with a glue dot. Add pearls and rhinestones as desired. Note: I think Colleen colored hers with a gold Sharpie.
