Happy Holidays from the Freaks!

It's the most wonderful time of the year! (Did you just sing that in your head?) November means we get to show some of the awesome, amazing, artistic Stampin' Up! holiday items, and not a moment too soon! Hopefully by now you are well on your way to getting your holiday projects finished! If not, we have some ideas you can CASE! You may have just landed here from Wendy Weixler's blog, Wickedly Wonderful Creations. Weren't her projects AWESOME?! If you started here on my blog, just click the link at the bottom to take you to the next stop on the tour and continue on until you've seen all nine stops!

When I think holidays, I think Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's. Since Thanksgiving is only five days away, you may not need Thanksgiving inspiration, so I did a Christmas and New Year's card. Up first....Christmas, of course!

STAMP: Tin of Tags  CARDSTOCK: Shimmery White, Tip Top Taupe, Old Olive, Gold Glimmer  INK: Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler & Cherry Cobbler marker  TOOLS: Big Shot, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Pretty Pines Thinlits, Lots of Labels Framelits, 2" Circle Punch, Cable Knit Dynamics TIEF, Pearls Basic Jewels

I wanted to use that Tin of Tags stamp set (still on sale for 25% off!) with the Stitched Shapes Framelits. When I was little we always had mistletoe in the front entry at Christmas, so the greeting just brings back happy memories. The warm wishes part of the greeting made me think of sweaters, so of course I had to use the Cable Knit Dynamics embossing folder. And the Pretty Pines Thinlits dies just happen to have a couple of mistletoe sprig dies - how convenient!

Now, what follows Christmas? Why, New Year's of course!

STAMP: Frosted Medallions  CARDSTOCK: Shimmery White, Bermuda Bay, Copper Foil  INK: VersaMark, Pool Party, Bermuda Bay marker,  TOOLS: Big Shot, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Layering Ovals Framelits, Pretty Paisley TIEF, Heat Tool, Copper Stampin' Emboss Powder

After embossing the greeting from Frosted Medallions with the copper embossing powder, I though it was pretty, but kind of plain. (Pretty plain, haha.) Playing around with several colors, I saw the Bermuda Bay looked awesome with the copper, so I grabbed the B.B. marker and went to town! More Stitched Shapes Framelits were used, as well as the Pretty Paisley embossing folder. Spatters are compliments of Gorgeous Grunge, done in copper and Pool Party.

That's it for me this time! Next on the tour is Debbie Henderson's blog, Debbie's Designs, and I'm sure she has tons of inspiration for you!
