Autumn Thanks SOS273

This week my BFF and I are participating in an awesome color challenge over at Shopping Our Stash. We both adored the color combo!!! Aren't these colors just so yummy together?

I chose Emerald Envy, Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry, and Tangerine Tango, with Copper Foil representing the bottom color. With the fall leaves really starting to get some color around here, I wanted to use the leaf from (the now retired) Thoughtful Branches. It's the perfect size to stamp background paper, which I did on a scrap of Whisper White, without having any idea what I was going to do with it! When I was finished, it looked awfully "busy" to me, so I trimmed it down to lessen the impact somewhat.

The embossed background was in my Box o' Useful Bits and was just what was needed to give the white space all around the stamped part some visual interest. I am so in love with the Copper Foil Sheets, and will be so sad when it's not available any more. *sniff* Apparently it's more popular than Stampin' Up! anticipated, because now it's not available to order until 10/17, and even the Copper Stampin' Emboss Powder is in low inventory.

Here's the "How To"
 Greeting panel: Whisper White 2" x 3-1/4"
 Mat: Copper Foil 2-1/4" x 3-1/2"
 Stamped background: Whisper White 3-1/4" x 4-1/2"
 Mat: Copper Foil 3-1/2" x 4-3/4"
 Embossed background: Whisper White 4" x 5-1/4"
Card Base: Whisper White Thick 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" scored and folded at 4-1/4"
  1. Emboss 4" x 5-1/4" Whisper White rectangle with the Seaside embossing folder and adhere to card base.
  2. Randomly stamp leaves in Emerald Envy, Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry, and Tangerine Tango on 3-1/4" x 4-1/2" Whisper White, then mat on Copper Foil and adhere to card.
  3. Using markers, color potted tree and greeting from Vertical Greetings (marker to stamp), huff on stamp to re-moisten it, and stamp on remaining Whisper White. Mat on Copper Foil and adhere to card with Stampin' Dimensionals.
I thought this card had enough going on that it didn't need any embellishments. What do you think?
