I love this little greeting from this month's Paper Pumpkin kit! It makes such a great "just because" card. I have a little box of pieces I haven't used from other projects, and the stamped tree and die-cut leaves were in there, so I decided to put them to use. I have to do SOMETHING because that little box is getting awfully full of
Two techniques were used on this card. The first was the Thumping technique for the leaves on the tree. Ink up the stamp with the lighter color, then use the side of a marker to "thump" a darker color randomly all over. The second was the Baby Wipe technique. Make a temporary ink pad by folding up a baby wipe and dropping ink on it for stamping the die-cut leaves. Works like a charm to get that ombre look!
By the way, that Kraft Corrugated Paper is still available on the Clearance rack for only $2.80! It's a fabulous, easy way to add texture to your projects!
