Twelve Days of Christmas TAGS, Day 12

On the twelfth day of Christmas, my true love gave to meeee....two tiny snowmen! Can you believe today is the last day of the Twelve Days of Christmas TAGS? I hope you have enjoyed seeing something new every day as much as I have enjoyed creating those new things!

These snowmen were colored the same day that I did the reindeer used on Day 3. I sure do love to color.....have I mentioned that lately?

Smiley from Millan.Net

Anyhoo, these tags used pretty much the same items as the reindeer tags with the exception of the background, which is Tranquil Tide.

And now I'll let you in on a little secret. All these tags, plus a few more, were because my BFF Barb (the one responsible for my addiction....*ahem* I mean hobby) suggested we each make some tags and exchange them. "Come on," she said, "it'll be FUN!"

At first I was reluctant, mainly because we don't have very many wrapped gifts to use them on at this point in our lives, but also because I was at a loss for ideas. Well, once I got going, and the ideas started flowing, it was hard to stop! So Barb, if you're reading this, THANKS for the kick in the butt I needed! Love you, Sweetie!

Twelve Days of Christmas TAGS, Day 3

Are these not the cutest little Christmas tags?! These were some of the things I colored when I was stamping with friends a couple weeks ago. The Seasonal Chums and matching Seasonal Tags Framelits made it super easy to make these tags!

I started with a Whisper White base and added a layer of the polka dots from the Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate. Then both were cut with the (retired) Ornate Tag Topper Punch. Just to dress it up a bit, some leftover gold foil tape from a Paper Pumpkin kit was added to the bottom edge.

After stamping the "To: From:" inside, the little deer were adhered on the tops with Mini Glue Dots, and 1/8" Sheer White Ribbon was added to tie them onto their gifts.

Happy Holidays from the Control Freaks!

We're baa-ack! Due to various issues with families, other commitments, vacations, etc. the Freaks needed to temporarily suspend the Tour de Freaks, but we're back in business now! And just in time with some fabulous holiday inspiration!!!

Mary, aka Stamper Camper, was first on the tour, so you may have just landed here from her blog. I'm number two, but if you are starting here, you can continue on to see all eight blogs by clicking the links on the bottom of each page.

I have a couple of cards today, both of them using the Seasonal Chums bundle. One is kind of simple and one more elaborate. Let's start with the simpler one, okay? I fell in love with the Seasonal Chums bundle, especially once the Stampin' Blends were released. The images are so much fun to color, so I started with the dear little deer for my first card.

I combined it with the colorful Quilted Christmas DSP, because I liked the traditional colors and thought they worked well for this card. The stitched holly design on one sheet reminded me that I haven't used the Holly embossing folder much, so it got put to good use today!

Up next is a shaker card using the cute snowman and his bunny buddy! I cut the window all the way through the card front so you could see the houses (from the Hometown Greetings Edgelits) inside.

Aaaand, so you could see the snowman and bunny bums from inside (when the sequins aren't in the way). Isn't that just the cutest thing?! I really had a blast making this card, and got the giggles a couple of times. (I am easily amused, LOL.)

The image was colored with Pool Party, Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler, Smoky Slate, and Crumb Cake Stampin'Blends combos. Those fabulous die cut snowflakes are also in the Seasonal Tags Framelits Dies. They're so cool! (See what I did there, heh heh?)

That's all for this stop, so hop on over to see what Debbie has for you at Debbie's Designs!

The Holiday Catalog is LIVE!

I'm so excited because starting today you can see the holiday catalog in its entirety! The new stamps, DSP, tools, and embellishments are fabulous!!! If you don't have a paper copy from me and would like one, just let me know. Meanwhile, you can see it by clicking the image on the left side of this page!

Today's card uses another image from the Seasonal Chums set. Isn't this little deer just a little dear?! Just too cute! That's a gold Foil Snowflake behind him. The snowflakes come 24 in a pack - 12 each of gold and silver. You can find them on page 47!

After stamping the little guy on Shimmery White and coloring him, I added some Fine-Tip Glue to the bell to give it some shine.

So here it is, September 1st already, and I still haven't started my Christmas cards in earnest. I think I'll make some more of these and put them in the card box to send in December!

By the way, there is an awesome Host Promotion going on in September and October. Details coming tomorrow but you can see a preview now!
