Stamp Review Crew - Forever Fern

Welcome to the Stamp Review Crew's Forever Fern edition! The "Crew" is made up of a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world who pick a stamp set or bundle to highlight on the first and third Mondays of each month, with a bonus hop if there is a fifth Monday. If you landed here from Nikki's blog, My Sandbox, welcome! There are eight of us today and I'm number six. If you get lost, click the banner above for the blog roll.

This isn't the first time we've featured this stamp set and die, but it's always fun to revisit a set and get fresh ideas. Since it's pretty much the peak of Autumn color here, I was inspired to use the colors in the first card.

I can look out my craft room window and see Poppy Parade, Bumblebee, and Mossy Meadow just across the river from me. The colors are so pretty....and so fleeting!

I inked the stamp with sponge daubers to add the different colors. The pointy Mossy Meadow leaves were stamped directly on the Harvest Meadow DSP, and Wink of Stella brightened the die cut leaf sprigs and added a little glimmer.

This next card uses both Harvest Meadow and Tidings of Christmas DSP, kind of a segue from Autumn to Winter, right? I really like the simplicity of this one, letting the subtle patterns of the paper show off the stamped and die cut Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent leaves.

A few gold foil die cuts and a gold cord double bow add a little elegance.

And speaking of segueing into Winter, the last card celebrates Christmas with embossing from the Merriest Frames and the Star Crossed embossing folders! The leaves were stamped with Shaded Spruce, and the "berries" with Cherry Cobbler.

A short piece of Cherry Cobbler & Gold ribbon was tied with gold cord and adhered with a glue dot. Those Garden Gems match perfectly and will be available to order a part of a pre-release starting Tuesday 11/2 (while supplies last).

That's my share for today, so click NEXT to see what my friend Mickey at Paper Conversation has made - I'm sure she's got something gorgeous to share!
