Masculine Get Well

The husband of one of my friends fell and broke his leg last week - right above where he had a knee replaced (I don't now how long ago). So I made him a get well card, because that's all I can do. His surgery was yesterday and involved rods and screws. I can't even imagine how much that must hurt.

I already had the embossed Brass Foil die cut in my box of useful bits, so it was a simple matter to stamp and die cut the sentiment, and then choose a nice DSP background. I really like the way this turned out!

The Pretty Peacock background highlights the Pretty Peacock in the Plaid Tidings DSP beautifully. The white mat really makes it pop, too. I did use some ribbon, which I generally don't on guy cards, but I just cut banner ends and didn't put any frou-frou bows on it.

I hope he feels the warm healing wishes that I'm sending with it. I know my friend will. 😊

Measurements

  • Plaid Tidings 3-1/4" x 4-1/2"
  • Whisper White mat 3-7/16" x 4-11/16"
  • Pretty Peacock mat 4-1/8" x 5-3/8"
