Saturday Halloween Favor

Today's Create With Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop theme is "Halloween Favors." I like making little favors filled with sweet treats, but since my hubby and I started the low carb lifestyle, we never have candy in the house. What to do, what to do?

Fortunately, nuts are an allowed treat for us, and even if they aren't sweet I had something to fill this cute little acetate box! I started with a 3-1/8" x 8-1/2" piece of Pumpkin Pie cardstock and scored it at 1", 1-3/4", 4-7/8", and 5-1/2". After scoring it, I used the bat die from Halloween Magic Dies to cut a window in the front panel, stamped the greeting, and then embossed just the front with the Wrapped In Texture embossing folder. It was then slipped into the small acetate card box.

The bat embellishment was cut from Black Glitter Paper using the same die and adhered with Glue Dots over the bow tied with the black Glittered Organdy Ribbon. Some Pumpkin Pie rhinestones made the bat's shiny, spooky eyes!

That's my share for today. Now click the Next button to jump to Libby Fens at Libby Stamps, or the Back button to see what Mary Brown at Stamper Camper's Corner made!
