The Stamp Review Crew - Country Home

https://stampreviewcrew.blogspot.com/2018/09/country-home.html

Welcome to the "Country Home" edition of the Stamp Review Crew! We are a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world who hope to inspire you by picking one stamp set and showing many ways to use it! This stamp set is part of the splendid Country Lane Suite with so many fabulous elements! If you started at the beginning of the hop, you just landed here from Heidi's blog. You can click the banner above for the entire blog roll, or just follow the links on the bottom of each blog.

The Country Home photopolymer stamp set isn't bundled with a coordinating die or punch, but the entire suite is chock full of wonderfulness! My card today uses four of the stamps in the stamp set, as well as the Chicken Wire Elements and Braided Linen Trim that are part of the suite.

Christmas has been on my mind a lot lately (100 more days, people!) so I wanted to see if I could make a Christmas-y feeling card. Of course I had to glitz it up.....sort of an elegant farmhouse chic style. (Is there such a thing? LOL) I started by sponging Vegas Gold Shimmer Paint on the back side of the chicken wire, then stamped the milk can on Gold Foil with StazOn ink. There was a little bit of fussy cutting involved, but it wasn't bad.

Since there wasn't any die or punch with this suite, I borrowed a die from the Frosted Bouquet Framelits as well as the Sprig Punch from the Joyous Noel Suite. I needed some Christmas greenery, folks!

The Braided Linen Trim was colored with a dark Cherry Cobber Stampin' Blends marker to coordinate with the Merry Merlot stamped tiles and glimmer paper.

I was only able to get one project done, so up next is Dawn Tidd over at Tiddbits From Dawn.
