Stamp Review Crew - Waterfront

https://stampreviewcrew.blogspot.com/2018/09/waterfront.html

This edition from the Stamp Review Crew is focused on the Waterfront stamp set, and you know I love trees, so I was very happy that it carried over from the Occasions catalog!!! It's a sixteen piece photopolymer set that is SO versatile!

If you landed here from Lou's blog, With a Bow on Top, welcome! Just follow the links to take the whole tour, courtesy of the Crew. We are a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world who hope to inspire you by picking one stamp set (or bundle) and showing many ways to use it!

Since Fall is in the air, and Christmas is right behind, I thought of doing some snowy scenes for a different twist on this stamp set. For both cards, the trees, snowy ground, and falling snow were heat-embossed in white on Night of Navy cardstock.

On the first card, I chose a landscape orientation and matted the scene on Copper Foil. Some coils of Copper Metallic Thread were added behind to balance the copper heat-embossed greeting. I have to confess to "borrowing" greetings from other sets since there weren't any wintery appropriate ones in Waterfront!

The second card is in a portrait orientation, and some glimmer snowflakes cut with the Blizzard Thinlits die (coming on Sep. 5th!) were added for extra sparkle. I sure do hope we get at least one BIG snow this winter!

That's it for me this time....up next is Jay, at Mitosu Crafts. I'm sure you will find more inspiration there!
