Hearts Come Home Bundle, Five Minute Christmas Cards

The Hearts Come Home bundle in the Stampin' Up! 2017 Holiday catalog makes hand crafted Christmas cards so quick and easy, I whipped these out in no time! The three building outlines are part of the Hometown Greetings Edgelits Dies, and can all be run through the Big Shot at once, so just one pass makes three cards.

There are several options for the background "sky." These three use patterns from the Delightful Daisy, Naturally Eclectic, and Eastern Palace Specialty DSP packs. But you could just as easily do a quick watercolor wash. Hmmm, I think I'll try that next time!

So, once the outlines were cut, it was a quick job to adhere them to the DSP, and then to the card bases. The greetings are all in the Hearts Come Home stamp set (wood or clear mount). The only thing I added that wasn't part of that bundle was the Dazzling Diamons Glimmer Paper star, which was cut with a die from the Starlight Thinlits. Oh! And the moon was made with the 1" circle punch. Super simple!

Altogether, including cutting the cardstock and DSP, I spent maybe 15 minutes on these. I'm sure it would go even faster if I got an assembly line going!

  1. Cindy,
Love all 3 of these cards. I was on the fence about these edgeless. Now I can't wait to get my hands on them.

    1. Gerri, you'll love them! I kept it simple here, but I can see layering them, too, for a more intricate card. :-)
