Hearts Come Home, Another Sneak Peek

That idea I had yesterday for doing a watercolor background translated into this fun card! Not only do the Hometown Greetings Edgelits Dies have the scenes shown in yesterday's cards, but also a cute little house trio silhouette plus a tag top die. They fit perfectly on cardstock cut 2" wide!

For this card, I started with a 2" x 4" piece of watercolor paper. After heat embossing the moon and stars from Hearts Come Home in white, I watercolored the background with an Aqua Painter and Night of Navy ink. The tag top die was used to cut the top of the watercolor paper, and the trio of houses die was used on a 1-3/4" x 2" piece of Shimmery White after stamping the greeting. Liquid glue fastened it to the bottom of the tag, and Night of Navy Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon and Jute Twine were added to the top.

I thought the background looked a little too plain, so the Quilt Top embossing folder was used to add texture.....but it still needed "something." Then I remembered the fabulous pine sprigs in the Pretty Pines Thinlits Dies. Ta-DA! That's just what was needed to make the card complete!
