Colorful Seasons Sneak Peek!

The big brown truck brought a big brown box of happiness to my doorstep last night, and I've been oohing and aahing over the new stamping goodies inside ever since. I'm easily distracted by all the shiny squirrels, so it took me a while to settle on one bundle and get to work! I have to stop petting the pretties, and start using them, right?

For instance, I adore these new Glitter Enamel Dots, even though I didn't use them on this card. I tried, but they just didn't look quite right, so I'm hoarding saving them for another time. They have the most gorgeous opalescent fire to them, and I love the gradation of shades, from a rich saturation to the palest hint of color. Alright, Cindy, quit ogling the pretties and get back to the card.

This is part of the Colorful Seasons Bundle, which is versatile for any season!!! This is a great Spring theme card, but I'm looking forward to some Summer, Autumn, and Winter cards with this set, as well.

I did a light watercolor wash on Shimmery White cardstock with Soft Sky ink and an Aqua Painter. After it dried, I stamped the smaller branches and flowers in Berry Burst, stamped off once, and Soft Suede, also stamped off once. The larger die-cut flowers are also Berry Burst stamped off, but the stamens are Soft Suede, full strength, and the die-cut branch is Soft Suede cardstock.

Since I don't have any ribbon to match the new In Colors (yet), I used a decorative edging strip from the Eastern Gold Vinyl Stickers. I think it embellished the card perfectly!
