Balloon Birthday Adventure

Okay...the remote shutter release for my iPhone works flawlessly, YAY! Unfortunately, the picture quality is lacking, BOO! I don't know why, but I got light and dark lines through every one of the photos. I don't know if it's the lighting or what. I will still be doing step-by-step tutorials, but the photos will be taken by my trusty DSLR camera. I'll reserve the iPhone for videos (if I ever get there, lol).

Sooo, please excuse the picture quality. I fixed it as best I could in Photoshop, so you will still be able to see the steps. As always, you can click on a photo to enlarge it. And without further ado...

Here's the "How To"
 Balloon: Night of Navy 3" x 4"
 Greeting banner/Clouds: Whisper White 3" x 4"
 DSP: Carried Away (Sale-A-Bration item) 3-7/8" x 5-1/8"
 Mat: Night of Navy 4" x 5-1/4"
Card base: Whisper White Thick 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" scored & folded at 4-1/4"
  1. Die cut largest balloon from Up & Away Thinlits in the smaller Night of Navy cardstock. Note: Using the Precision Base Plate with intricate Thinlits ensures complete cuts, and the Die Brush helps get rid of the little fiddly bits.

  2. Stamp the banner and greeting from Balloon Adventures in Night of Navy ink on the lower half of the Whisper White. Fussy-cut the banner. From remaining cardstock, die cut the largest and smallest cloud.

  3. Stamp the greeting on the lower right side of the DSP. Adhere to Night of Navy mat and then to card base.

  4. Adhere balloon to left side of card with small dots of liquid glue.

  5. Adhere banner over balloon with dimensionals (halved).

  6. Lightly sponge edges of clouds with Night of Navy ink, and adhere larger cloud to card with liquid glue. Attach smaller cloud with half of a dimensional.

  7. Stamp sentiment inside.

  8. Sign it, put it in an addressed envelope, attach a postage stamp, & MAIL IT!

  1. So pretty! It's that very last part (#8) that I have a hard time with. Can't wait to see your video's once you get it going!

    1. Barb, I HAD to start sending them, because they were taking over my craft space! If you just can't bring yourself to mailing them, donate them to a worthy cause!!! ❤️
