SOTW - Wrapped Bouquet

One more card with this set, and then it's on to new things! I used a Mossy Meadow card base and stamped the "newsprint" all over the front with matching ink. The Ornate Layers die was cut in Soft Sea Foam.

The bouquet was also stamped in Mossy Meadow and colored with Stampin' Blends. (I used the dark Soft Sea Foam Blends to color the background around the bouquet so the white flowers would show up.)

The bouquet wrapper was stamped in Smoky Slate on both sides so the folded-back part also showed the newsprint. A Linen Thread bow and a few Pearl Basic Jewels finished it off.

Saturday Valentine Favors

Today's Create With Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop theme is "Valentine Favors" and I have just the perfect little treat for you! Since my hubby and I started the low carb life a couple years ago, sugar is definitely something we do not eat. So imagine my delight when I discovered sugar free Reese's Peanut Butter Cups! Oh, happy day!!!

This little box holds four peanut buttercups, or three Ghirardelli Squares, though I haven't seen any sugar free ones. (I'd be all over them if I did!)

Its a super simple box to make, too. And then you can decorate as you please. I used the Lots of Heart bundle, but with an Itty Bitty Greeting since the box is so small.

Measurements:
  • Base cardstock 4-1/8" x 4-1/8" scored at 3/4" all around
  • Lid cardstock or DSP 3-3/4" x 3-3/4" scored at 1/2" all around

Fold on all the scorelines and cut the flaps up to the scoreline. Adhere flaps with Tear & Tape adhesive. Decorate as desired and give a sweet little something to someone special! 💘

That's my share for today. Now click the Next button to jump to Libby Fens at Libby Stamps, or the Back button to see what Mary Brown at Stamper Camper's Corner has made!

Hot Dog Get Well

Here is another card using Hot Dog, this week's SOTW. The "cone of shame" just cracks me up, and I hope whoever gets this card will get a laugh from it, as long as laughing doesn't hurt!

I tried to keep this a CAS card, but ended up using retired bling on it because I just couldn't leave well enough alone. (More is more, right?)

It's been ages since I added score lines to give texture to a card. The Simply Scored Scoring Tool really helps me get the lines straight, and the measurements on the side showed me exactly where to start and stop scoring.

Measurements

  • White card base 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" scored & folded at 4-1/4"
  • Granny Apple Green mat 3-5/8" x 4-7/8"
  • White scored panel 3-1/2" x 4-3/4" scored at 1/4" all around
  • Oh So Ombre background 2-1/2" x 3-3/4"
