Stamp Review Crew - Penguin Place

Welcome to the Stamp Review Crew's Penguin Place edition! The "Crew" is made up of a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world who pick a stamp set or bundle to highlight on the first and third Mondays of each month, with a bonus hop if there is a fifth Monday. If you landed here from Bronwyn's blog, Addinktive Designs, welcome! There are only four of us today, so the hop won't take too long, but it's sure to be inspiring!

Penguin Place is a 28 piece photopolymer stamp set that can be purchased separately, or bundled with the coordinating Penguin Builder Punch for a 10% savings (while the Jul-Dec catalog is current). I love that it's not just for the holidays, either!

I have two cards to share today. One is a cool winter card and the other a birthday card. Lets start with the cool winter penguin, enjoying a slide down a snowy slope.

He's all bundled up for the weather with his cap and scarf. This card uses some of the free Sale-a-Bration DSP called Penguin Playmates, which will only be available for ten more days, while supplies last!

Some Silver Foil Specialty paper lends an icy feel to the ground and the stitched snowflake, as do the Rhinestone Basic Jewels scattered on the snowflakes.

The second card uses the free DSP again and the colors are so festive! Just Jade, Fresh Freesia, Soft Sea Foam, and Misty Moonlight just pop together! The penguin was stamped and punched with the punch, but the balloon had to be fussy cut. Luckily there weren't a lot of tiny details to cut around!

That's my share for today, so click NEXT to see what Charlet at Painted Orange has made. Her projects always make my jaw drop....so talented!

  1. The sliding penguin is perfect with the silver foil. I love how you highlighted snowflakes with the rhinestones. The birthday card is so fun and clean!
