Stamp Review Crew - Goodbye Sale-a-Bration

The Stamp Review Crew is celebrating the last few days of the SECOND Sale-a-Bration this year with this bonus hop! The "Crew" is made up of a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world who pick a stamp set or bundle to highlight on the first and third Mondays of each month, with a bonus hop if there is a fifth Monday. If you landed here from my friend Mickey's blog, Paper Conversation, welcome. There are NINE of us today, so grab a cup of your fave beverage and enjoy the ride!

For today's projects I used the Delicate Dahlias and In Your Words (Host) stamp sets, along with some Beautifully Penned DSP.

The first card uses the large dahlia image, which was colored with Bermuda Bay Blends and fussy cut.

Okay, so I fudged a bit and used the retired Subtle 3D embossing folder. I really wanted that for the background of the ornate layers. 😇

Some gold sprigs from the Blackberry Beauty Ephemera Pack and a few Opal Rounds completed the card.

The smaller blossoms make up the background for the second card. They were stamped randomly with Pale Papaya and Rich Razzleberry, with some Pear Pizzazz leaves added. Then the whole thing was embossed with the Timeworn Type folder.

I really like that greeting, don't you? I've been known to combine words to make new ones, so this just tickled me when I saw it.

Pale Papaya Open Weave Ribbon and In Color Jewels fancied it up a bit more.

The last card also features the smaller blooms, this time stamped in Magenta Madness and fussy cut. After brushing Magenta Madness onto the cardstock with a Blending Brush, I used the Painted texture 3D folder to emboss it. The silver Simply Elegant Trim was wrapped around and knotted, then the ends were frayed.

Granny Apple Green leaves were stamped on the Beautifully Penned DSP and die cut with a Scalloped Contour die, then the fussy cut blossoms were adhered. I added the black dots to the flower centers with a Stampin' Write Marker to make them pop a bit more.

I really like the look of greetings heat embossed in white on a black background. They really stand out and make a statement!

That's all I have for today, so click NEXT to see what the always awesome Charlet at Painted Orange has made!
