Stamp Review Crew - Whale Done

Welcome to the Stamp Review Crew's Whale Done edition! The "Crew" is made up of a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world who pick a stamp set or bundle to highlight on the first and third Mondays of each month, with a bonus hop if there is a fifth Monday. If you landed here from Charlet's blog, Painted Orange, welcome! There are five of us today, so it will be a short hop....but I'm sure with lots to inspire you!

Whale Done is a 15 piece photopolymer stamp set that makes building sea scenes easy, AND there is a coordinating Whale Punch so you don't need to fussy cut the whale!

My first card is going out to someone special who IS kind of a big deal to me. I don't want to mention names and spoil the surprise, though.

I used the Bark 3D embossing folder because I thought it would look like water ripples, but it really just looks like bark to me, LOL. The seaweed and coral did have to be fussy cut, but that was easy.

The next card is for my honey. He's been my rock for over 46 years and I can't imagine what my life would have been like without him!

I used Blending Brushes to create the under water scene, then stamped the seaweed, coral, fish and seahorses in black to make them really pop.

I LOVE the Be Dazzling Specialty Paper that is part of next month's Sale-a-Bration! You can be sure it will be making an appearance on some of my Christmas cards. *grin*

That's my share for today, so jump on over to see what the amazingly talented Heidi at RunningW Scissors Stamper has made!

  1. Both cards are super cute. My Bark EF is arriving today. What a great idea to use that for the 'sea'.
