The Stamp Review Crew - Happy Birthday Gorgeous

https://stampreviewcrew.blogspot.com/2018/04/happy-birthday-gorgeous.html

Hello, and welcome to another Stamp Review Crew blog hop! Today we are focusing on the very versatile Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set. If you are hopping in order, you just landed here from the talented Holly's blog, The Rubber Redneck. Just keep following the links on each blog to go on to the next stop. There are nine of us Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all around the world participating today!

Happy Birthday Gorgeous is a photopolymer set and it coordinates with the Balloon Bouquet punch. I have to be honest, I hadn't played with it very much before, but once I got going I was on a roll! I chose the colors from the new Stampin' Up! corporate logo and they are gorgeous together!

For the flowers I used Night of Navy and Calypso Coral full strength on the outlines, then stamped off once for the filler stamps to lighten it a bit.  The leaves and tendrils are Old Olive, also stamped off. To keep my stamping somewhat lined up, I lightly penciled around a circle Framelit. After arranging the flowers it was erased, leaving the half wreath. I did fussy cut a couple extra flowers so they could be popped up for added dimension.

I am thrilled that the Basket Weave Dynamic embossing folder will be in the new annual catalog! Can you believe that it's only two months away?! (I'll get to see it next week when I go to OnStage, though. Can't wait!)

The doily was lightly sponged with Night of Navy and a N.O.N. shabby double bow was added to complete the card. The flap of the envelope was stamped to match the card.
