The whimsical little birds in Cheery Chirps just make me smile every time I look at them. I spent an afternoon with a stamping friend recently and got a ton of coloring done. I did four of these birds in various color combinations, along with a bunch of other images that I'll share another time (more on that later).
I think the clean simplicity of this card works well with the bird image. The soft aqua-blue of the Pool Party bird is complemented by the Pear Pizzazz background. I did use some retired Corrugated Kraft to add a little texture. (Love that stuff - stocked up on it when it retied, LOL.)
Coloring with Stampin' Blends markers is so easy! You can see how the colors blend into each other without a sharp line. They also are fabulous for coloring embellishments, like I did with the rhinestones! If you look closely in the zoomed image, you can see I added some Clear Wink of Stella on the wing feathers. It's so subtle, you have to hold the card just right to notice it.
Okay....about those other images I colored. Next week will begin my
