Perfect Pennants meets Bohemian
I loooove the color combination in the Bohemian DSP, and created this card features the colors and the yummy new Corrugated Paper. The corrugated texture is amazing - just the right amount, and the pack contains both Kraft and White, so the possibilities are endless!
This was one of the cards we made in my last class, the theme being "Thinking of You." In addition to the corrugated paper, we use the Metallic Foil Doilies. Just needed 1/4 of a doily per card, so one pack would go a long way. (There are six each of large gold and silver, and small gold and silver.)
The Banner Triple punch made short work of the banners. We punched both at the same time! The Perfect Pennants greeting was colored with Rich Razzleberry and Island Indigo markers to match the DSP.
Recipe:
5-1/2" x 8-1/2" Rich Razzleberry, scored at 4-1/4" for card base
4" x 5-1/4" Kraft Corrugated Paper
1" x 5-1/2" strip Bohemian DSP for banner
1-1/2" x 5-1/4" strip Bohemian DSP for banner
1-1/2" x 4" Very Vanilla for greeting
1-3/4" x 4" Rich Razzleberry for mat behind greeting
STAMP: Perfect Pennants
INK: Rich Razzleberry and Island Indigo Stampin' Write Markers
CARDSTOCK: Rich Razzleberry, Very Vanilla, Bohemian DSP, Kraft & White Corrugated Paper
ACCESSORIES: Metallic Foil Doilies

Another Baby Girl!
I forgot to post this card a few weeks ago, so I'm fixing that oversight right now! This was the card I made for my cousin's daughter, who gave her her first granddaughter last month. The baby's name is Ivy Ray (isn't that beautiful?), so I thought the greeting from Ray of Sunshine was perfect! I found the inspiration for it on Pinterest from a card by LeeAnn Pugliese.
My cousin, Shaundra, is so blessed. Here's a quick back story: She had triplets about 28 years ago - two girls and a boy. Well, her two daughters got married in a double wedding, and then got pregnant within a couple months of each other. Up to this point, Shaundra had three grandsons, but no granddaughters. Wouldn't you know it - the girls found out they were expecting girls! One of them just had her TWINS last week (card already posted). So the count is even now - 3 boys and 3 girls! I'm so happy for her!
STAMPS: Ray of Sunshine, Kinda Eclectic, Perfect Pennants, Pictogram Punches, Papillon Potpourri
CARDSTOCK: Whisper White, Pink Pirouette
INK: Rose Red, Pink Pirouette, Melon Mambo Blendabilites (colored pearls)
ACCESSORIES: Big Shot, Circles Collection Framelits, Fancy Fan and Delicate Designs embossing folders, Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack, Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack, 5/8" Organza Ribbon, Pearls Basic Jewels

Freaky Mish-Mash
Welcome to the February 2014 Tour de Freaks! Our theme this month is "Mish-Mash", meaning we can do whatever we like! Which is right up my alley, because I like doing whatever the heck I want! It's the
I'm the first stop on the tour this month, but you may have just landed here from Judy DiScipio's blog. Weren't her projects great? There are eleven blogs linked and you can take the tour by clicking on the "next stop" button at the bottom of each blog.
My projects this month are from the All Occasions Class we just had. My idea was to create a bunch of different cards (without any greetings on them) to have available for any occasion that might pop up. Then all we'd have to do is add the appropriately themed greeting and get it right in the mail the same day! So you will see the "blank" card, and then one with a greeting added.
First up is something that could work as a masculine or a feminine card. The card uses Summer Silhouettes for the basic card, with a greeting from Perfect Pennants added on the second card.
STAMPS: Summer Silhouettes, Perfect Pennants CARDSTOCK: Whisper White, Cajun Craze, Retro Fresh DSP INK: So Saffron, Tangerine Tango, Baked Brown Sugar, Cajun Craze ACCESSORIES: Big Shot, Banners Collection Framelits, Gold Baker's Twine
Next up is a decidedly feminine card with flowers and butterflies. The basic card doesn't even use any stamps! The second card uses Perfect Pennants again for the greeting. This one is going to someone very special to let them know I'm thinking of them.
STAMP: Perfect Pennants CARDSTOCK: Whisper White, Island Indigo, Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Gingham Garden DSP INK: Island Indigo ACCESSORIES: Big Shot, Apothecary Accents Dies, Fancy Fan folder, Bitty Butterfly Punch, Pearls Basic Jewels
Up last, is another card that would work for a man or woman. I'm giving it to a family member (who shall remain nameless) whose birthday is coming up real soon!
STAMPS: Flowering Flourishes, Delightful Dozen CARDSTOCK: Whisper White, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Gingham Garden DSP INK: Old Olive, Basic Black ACCESSORIES: Big Shot, Circle Card Thinlits, Modern Label Punch, Brights Designer Buttons, Brights Candy Dots
Yes, I realize the colors are different. I didn't have enough of the same style buttons!
Did you like the before and after ideas? I hope so! Having a ready-to-mail supply of any occasion cards is a good thing.
That's all for me this month. Next up is LeeAnn Greff's blog. Thanks for taking the tour this month. I hope you come back soon!

Petite Petals X 4
This was a quick, fun card that we made at the Occasions/Sale-A-Bration party last weekend:
But after the guests left, I wanted to make one that was a little bit fancier. I added rhinestones to the flowers, and that helped somewhat:
But I still thought it needed something "more", so then I added a mat behind the polka-dot DSP to make it pop, added some subtle blossoms on the white (after stamping off on scratch paper), and stamped the greeting in black. I think that helped a lot!
And then.......
I had to try that layout in a different color!
So, what do you think? I could have kept going with different colors and themes, but thought that was enough for now. I'll play around with that sketch again soon, I'm sure!
It is very easy to make layers for the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch. I started with the colored cardstock cut 2" x 3-3/4". The white cardstock is cut 1-7/8" x 3-5/8". Just make sure the white cardstock is centered in the punch when you punch it! (And use the sanding block to round the edges a bit.)
Stamps: Petite Petals, Yippee-Skippee!, Perfect Pennants
Cardstock: Whisper White, Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay, Crisp Cantaloupe, Calypso Coral
Ink: Bermuda Bay, Pool Party, Gumball Green, Calypso Coral, Old Olive, Basic Black
Accessories: Scalloped Tag Topper Punch, Petite Petals Punch, Whisper White 5/8" Organza Ribbon, Bermuda Bay 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon, Old Olive 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon, Rhinestones Basic Jewels, Stampin' Sanding Block (to round corners at top of white cardstock), Stampin' Dimensionals

Occasion-ally Freaky
Ha, bet that got your attention, didn't it? It's time for the Tour de Freaks blog tour and the theme this month is the new, soon-to-be-released Occasions Catalog. It's a short tour this month....only eight of us were
I have three projects for you today, using the Peaceful Petals and Perfect Pennants stamp sets. They all use the Watercolor Wonder Designer Series Paper, yet they all look completely different. Variety is the spice of life, right? And Stampin' Up! makes it so easy with these great products!
My first project is very, um, timely. (Haha, I crack myself up sometimes!) The end of the year is hurtling toward us at break-neck speed, and a new calendar will soon be starting. I thought it would be nice to keep a mini calendar and sticky notes beside the phone, so I made this cute easel stand to hold them both. And hidden behind the calendar panel is a pencil for jotting down phone numbers or appointment times!

I Love the Man in Brown!
Yesterday he brought my box of stamping goodness from Stampin' Up! My pre-order from the Occasions Catalog arrived, and I can't wait to show you some of the lovelies. Well, I can't show you the products (yet) but I CAN show you what I make with them!
I don't know about you, but after dozens and dozens of Christmas cards these past few weeks, I'm about over Christmas, and Christmas colors. So when I tore into the pack of Watercolor Wonder DSP, I got positively giddy at the beautiful Spring-y colors! And here is the card that resulted from the giddiness:
There are new Framelits used here; the banners and the starburst circle are all new. And the blossom is from the gorgeous Peaceful Petals stamp set. I heat embossed it in gold on watercolor paper, then used an Aqua Painter to add Blushing Bride to it.
So, ya know how I love me some bling, right? Well there's bling aplenty in the new catalog! The Gold Sequin Trim and Gold Baker's Twine are just two of the fabulous new shiny items.
Note: Items in Red are in the new catalog available January 3rd.
Stamps: Peaceful Petals, Perfect Pennants
Cardstock: Whisper White, Wild Wasabi, Watercolor Paper, Watercolor Wonder DSP
Ink: VersaMark, Wild Wasabi, Blushing Bride, Crushed Curry marker
