Use That Neglected Product!

Welcome to another Create With Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop! Our theme this week is use a product that has been neglected, and even though there are plenty of stamps that I've neglected, I decided to pull out the Pattern Party Decorative Masks that I've probably only used twice since I got them. *hangs head in shame* So much money spent on toys that never get played with!

Since my new annual catalog preorder arrived yesterday, I paired the upcoming Tasteful Touches Bundle with the long-neglected brick wall decorative mask. Other than a quick fussy cutting of the flower, the card went together easily. With this is one I could send a little sunshine to my many friends who are staying home!

I sponged Gray Granite over the brick mask, deliberately leaving some areas lighter than others to simulate weathered brick. After stamping the blossom (inked in Melon Mambo with a sponge dauber to preserve detail), I added a little Mango Melody to the center with a Stampin' Write Marker.

The Mossy Meadow mat was cut twice and offset slightly, then everything was popped up on dimensionals. Can you see the detail on the Tasteful Label Die? Those dies are the whole reason I got this bundle! There are ten dies, some stitched, and some that emboss like this one. So pretty!

Well, on to the next stop on the hop - go see what Libby Fens has for you over at Libby Stamps. Or you can hop back to see what StamperCamper Mary made. Either way, I'm sure they have something special to share!

  2. Beautiful card that is an inspiration to me to get my decorative masks out and use them. The brick mask really makes a nice background for the pretty flower and friendly sentiment. Enjoy your day!
