Welcome to the Stamp Review Crew's Painted Poppies edition! The "Crew" is made up of a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world who pick a stamp set or bundle to highlight on the first and third Mondays of each month, with a bonus hop if there is a fifth Monday. If you landed here from Mary's blog, Center Stage Stamping, welcome! There are nine of us today, so follow the links for more inspiration.
But I did have a little time to make something, and since I wanted to do something different, I went with a pastel color palette for this card. Isn't it just dreamy? The poppies are colored with Petal Pink and So Saffron Stampin' Blends, and the leaves were done with Old Olive. The main poppy was die cut from vellum and colored, then popped up on a dimensional.
I added a Light Soft Sea Foam highlight around the flowers and leaves and stamped the small spatters in Soft Sea Foam Classic Ink. A few Soft Sea Foam adhesive-backed sequins completed the card. Sadly, they won't be carrying over to the new annual catalog. *sniff*
Isn't that embossed label fab? It's part of the Painted Labels Dies that coordinate with the stamp set. Both items will be carried over to the new catalog! The greeting is from Peaceful Moments, which is part of the Peaceful Poppies Suite (pg. 25 Jan-Jun Mini).
Up next is the awesome Kelly Kent at My Papercraft Journey!
Such a shame when adulting gets in the way of crafting! I do love your card though Cindy. The vellum is so effective. x
