My Inky Friends - Inking Up the Holidays
Hello, stamping friends, and welcome to another My Inky Friends blog hop! There are only three stops this time since everyone is so busy with the holidays - and speaking of holidays, that is the theme this time!
I'm really in a time crunch for getting my cards done and in the mail, so I decided to fall back on simple stamping for this card. One stamp set, ink pads, and cardstock. I think it turned out pretty well! I cut a mask from copy paper to use for the snowy hill and dragged a Pool Party ink pad across for the sky. The streaks remind me of the shimmery curtains of Northern Lights. Leaving the mask in place, the trees were stamped in Tranquil Tide.
I used Soft Suede for the elk and added a bit more color with a Blender Pen. After stamping the Tranquil Tide greeting, some sparkly snow was added with Clear Wink of Stella.
There you have it - a quick card that is CAS. No layers, no die cuts, no embossing....Mr. Big is feeling left out, LOL! Now you can hop on to see what Sharleen has for you by clicking the Next button, or hop back and see what Sara has done by clicking the Previous button. Thanks for stopping by!
