Yesterday was the Second Saturday Stamp Club, and also our Christmas party. Gosh, I have a really great time with these women! Anyway, I wanted to keep the projects to two simple cards since we needed to leave time for handmade gift exchanges and eating lunch. Yesterday was also National Brownie Day and I didn't even know that when I made the brownies for dessert! Since they also got to pick up their new 2019 Occasions catalogs and Sale-A-Bration flyers, naturally the cards had to use new goodies! We used the Piece of Cake stamp set on both cards, but on this one, we just used the greeting.
The butterflies were cut from Grapefruit Grove foil sheets (SAB freebie!) using the Butterfly Beauty Thinlits Dies in the Occasions catalog. The foil sheets are 12" x 12" and come with 4 Grapefruit Grove which is holographic, and 4 Lovely Lipstick which have a satin finish. They are all awesome!
We trimmed off two of the die cut butterflies and adhered the three largest ones to a 2-3/4" x 4-1/4" piece of Whisper White which had been embossed with the new Lace Dynamic TIEF and mounted on a Grapefruit Grove mat. After stamping the greeting, a few Basic Adhesive-backed Sequins were added to finish the card.
It was hard to get a photo that showed what the foil sheets look like because the angle of the light really made the rainbow pop. This is what it looks like when the crazy rainbow effect isn't as obvious.
Be sure to check back tomorrow for the other card, inspired by Patty Bennett!
