I decided to go in a different direction with this set - away from lemon and toward lime. When I realized the font in the Make A Difference stamp set is the same one used in Lemon Zest, it made my job so easy - all I had to do was mask off the word 'lemon' when inking up the stamp. Then it was simple to add 'lime' in its place!
Granny Apple Green, stamped off is the perfect limey color. I stamped some lime slices to make my own background paper and also onto the envelope flap. That Subtle Dynamic embossing folder is a fabulous way to add some subtle texture to the background, too. And because it's 6" x 6" you can have the texture running in either direction. On this card it's running horizontally.
I have a special fondness for a certain adult beverage that contains lime and tequila, so naturally that is why this card came to mind. However, I don't like Gatorade. So if you ever see me sipping from a Gatorade bottle, you can be reasonably certain it doesn't contain any Gatorade whatsoever! *wink*
I had to cheat a little bit with the salt on the rim. It's Some Other Brand! But that rim really needed some salt, I tell ya, and SU didn't have anything close!
So there you have it, my homage to margaritas. And this one is guaranteed to not give you a hangover!
Up next is the ever so talented Dawn Tidd, so hop on over to see what she has made!
