This was the card I was working on in my last post, that had the
tip about coloring. The Cheery Chirps stamp set is so whimsical and cute, and a joy to color! I love birds, and have so much fun watching them flitting around the garden and splashing in the bird bath.
I paired Cheery Chirps with Snowflake Sentiments, since it doesn't have any greetings of its own. I thought this sentiment worked especially well....almost like the bird is winging the greeting from my house to the recipient!
The silver Washi in the Year of Cheer Specialty Washi Tape added just the right touch, too. I thought about dry-embossing the background, but it would have been too busy. I kind of wanted the bird to really be the focus.
The snowflakes were used in place of embellishments. They are in the Swirly Snowflakes Thinlits dies (part of the Snowflake Sentiments bundle) and were cut from the leftover scraps of Shimmery White after I colored and fussy-cut the bird.
