Welcome to my Family!

Programming Note: Controls Freaks Tour de Freaks cancelled until next month, sorry.
But the Stamp Review Crew is having a Carols of Christmas bonus hop on Monday! Yay!

This week I had the very happy news that two more stamping friends have decided to join my stamping family! Welcome Susie and Coli to the cool kids club!!! Since they are now demos themselves and learned the secret handshake *grin*, they got to see the upcoming Holiday catalog that starts September 1st, and are already planning their preorder (with the demo discount!) for next week.

They've also already received their customized starter kits with the bonus Essentials Gift Pack from Stampin' Up! But what they didn't know was, I also planned my own "welcome" gift pack for anyone who signed up for the Christmas in July special this month!

These are going to be mailed out to them on Monday, in the Happy Mail bubble mailers I found on Amazon. They are so cute!!! The envelopes include a package each of the self-adhesive Pearls and Rhinestones Basic Jewels, a pack of the new Mini Dimensionals, a Silicone Craft Sheet, and a Stampin' Pierce Mat, which is so essential for good stamped images when using photopolymer stamps! All in all, that's an additional $25 value "signing bonus"!

You still have until July 31st to get in on all the fun bonuses. If you want more information, please don't hesitate to contact me. I promise there won't be any high pressure sales tactics. I will truthfully answer any questions you have, and if you decide it's not for you, I won't bug you later. Scout's honor!

I honestly don't know why more people don't take advantage of the starter kit. Think of it as getting all your chosen items on sale for >20% off. $125 in products you choose for $99 and free shipping, with absolutely no further obligation. And this month an additional $72 in products from Stampin' Up! and $25 in products from me. That's $222 for $99; you can't lose!

Note: The greeting is from a retired stamp set called Workshop Words. I will never part with it!!!

Delightful Daisy Meets Tranquil Tulips

I borrowed the color scheme from the Delightful Daisy DSP for the Tranquil Tulips this time. Since I had the stamp set out and the DSP right in front of me, it was easy to create another pretty Thank You card!
The colors listed on the package are Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, Night of Navy, Old Olive, Pool Party, and Tranquil Tide. As you can see from the background, the colors are muted, so I stamped off the Calypso Coral tulips once to lighten the color.

The Night of Navy mats really make the elements stand out, don't they?

Measurements
 Greeting: 7/8" x 3"
 Mat: 1" x 3-1/8"

Tranquil Tulip Sneak Peek

This is one of the six awesome new stamp sets from the 2017-2018 Stampin' Up! catalog that are for qualifying party hosts, or anyone with an order that qualifies for Stampin' Rewards! Of course, you can use your Stampin' Rewards for anything you want in the catalog, not just the host sets, but the host stamp sets are only available for purchase with the rewards.

Tranquil Tulips is a two-step stamp and, because it is photopolymer (completely clear), it's easy to line up the second image with the first!

I absolutely loved the simplicity of this card! It was so quick and easy to make, and the colors worked really well together. The background paper is from the Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper pack. BTW, I love every single design in that pack, which is going to make it really hard to choose sides!

Here's the "How To"
 Image: Whisper White 3" x 4-1/4"
 Mat: Night of Navy 3-1/8" x 4-3/8"
 Background: Delightful Daisy DSP 4" x 5-1/4"
Card base: Whisper White Thick 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" scored & folded at 4-1/4"
  1. Adhere DSP to card base.
  2. Stamp tulip stems in Pear Pizzazz ink. Stamp tulips in Berry Burst ink and stamens in Night of Navy ink. Add Pear Pizzazz leaves as desired.
  3. Stamp greeting (from Daisy Delight) in Night of Navy ink.
  4. Adhere to mat and then to card base.
  5. Add Glitter Enamel Dots.
  6. BOOM! You're done....now wasn't that EASY?!
NOTE: The Glitter Enamel Dots have been so wildly popular with the demonstrator preorder that they are on back order until June 5th. (Another reason it pays to be a demo - get 'em first before they sell out! LOL)

Freaky Sneaky Peeky!

Hellooooo again, stampers, and welcome to another Tour de Freaks! We are so excited this month because we are sharing sneak peeks of products coming in the new Stampin' Up! catalog which starts June 1st, wooHOO!!! There are eight of us on the hop this month, so you may have landed here from LeAnn Greff's blog, Flowerbug's Inkspot. Are you excited for the catalog after seeing her projects? I am! To see all of the tour's participants, click the links at the bottom of each post, and you'll end up going full circle.

As usual, I had a hard time deciding what to show because I love everything! So rather than focusing on one bundle or suite, I'm giving you a little taste of several. Up first is the Daisy Delight Bundle, which includes the stamp set and a coordinating punch. I used it with the delightful Color Theory DSP stack for a CAS card.

BUNDLE: Daisy Delight stamp set + Daisy Punch  CARDSTOCK: Always Artichoke, Whisper White, Color Theory DSP  INK: Old Olive, Always Artichoke, Crushed Curry, Basic Black  ACCESSORIES: Gold Faceted Gems, Old Olive Mini Chevron Ribbon

Next is the Label Me Pretty Bundle, which is also a stamp set with a coordinating punch. I used the Marker to Stamp technique on the label, with two of the new In Colors along with Old Olive. It's so pretty against the Powder Pink Fresh Florals DSP!

BUNDLE: Label Me Pretty stamp set + Pretty Label Punch  CARDSTOCK: Powder Pink, Berry Burst, Whisper White, Fresh Florals DSP  INK: Berry Burst Classic Ink Pad, plus Berry Burst, Lemon Lime Twist & Old Olive Stampin' Write Markers  ACCESSORIES: Big Shot, Layering Circles Framelits, Glitter Enamel Dots

For the final card, I just had to play with the Crafting Forever stamp set. This time I went with some retro colors, Lemon Lime Twist and Dapper Denim. It totally reminds me of the early 70s, because I had an A-line dress in high school that I swear was the same pattern and colors as that floral print on the first pen! It was really groovy with my white go-go boots.

STAMPS: Crafting Forever, Flourishing Phrases (greeting)  CARDSTOCK: Dapper Demin, Shimmery White, Silver Foil Sheets, Fresh Florals DSP  INK: Basic Black, Dapper Denim, Lemon Lime Twist, Smoky Slate, Blender Pens  ACCESSORIES: Big Shot, Layering Ovals Framelits, Stitched Shapes Framelits

Well, enough of the time travel, now it's off to see what the always awesome Dawn Olchefske over at DOstamping with Dawn has to show you. Thanks for stopping by!
