I had fun playing with the leaves from the stamp set, and made a CAS card with them. The leaves were stamped with St
āzOn on Shimmery White and then colored with the Cajun Craze watercolor pencil. I didn't color the whole leaf, just about halfway up from the base. Then I used an Aqua Painter to blend the color and pull it out toward the point of the leaf.
I really like how this card has a somewhat Asian feel. After I finished it, I wanted to see how it would look if it was stepped-up a bit. On the second card, I heat embossed the leaves in Copper embossing powder, and then colored them with Bright Copper Shimmer Paint. Trust me, the sheen is so
beautiful; the photo just doesn't do it justice!
A second copper mat was added behind the black mat, and two copper swirls were cut from the Stitched Seasons Framelits. Helpful Hint: To get a reverse image of the swirl, cut one from the back side of the copper. Then, using a bone folder, carefully smooth it out on a hard, flat surface (like a new Big Shot cutting pad).
